Two additional people left my household yesterday. Both of them were exposed to COVID. Waiting for symptoms.

Mrs 43's school decided she could come in. One of the other teachers she had lunch with tested positive. Two of my youngest's teachers are positive, and it must be worse than that because they went fully remote this morning suddenly.

All my practices were cancelled because there are 5 positives within our team. One kid who came to the practice Monday that I couldn't go to tested positive Tuesday morning. By this morning it's 4 more.

My daughter just tested positive for COVID - Both my wife and I are doing fine thus far (no symptoms). My daughter had a fever, sore throat etc., but is feeling better today (fever gone).

as you mentioned, if you are vaxxed it should be manageable and we move on.

Majority of my direct team at work are ill right now.

In addition to the companies who realize that remote workers can be productive, things like this are a big reason why I will probably not finish the year at my current job.

Nothing like a seller's market when looking to make more moneys.

Well, my daughter has the benefit of youth on her side and she's always working out. That and being fully vaxxed has kicked the crud out of COVID apparently as she just finished a workout

My 12 year old nephew had it and was OK after 2 rough (but not hospital bad) days. Now my sister in law has it. Hoping my brother avoids it because he is having other issues and I fear it might nail him. So far I lucked out.

Also I don't have any close friends or family that are anti-vaxxers (that I know of) but if I'm around anyone in the near future who is and is vocal about it - we may have an issue. I work for a health care organization and watched two emergency company meetings yesterday and things are really really rough. We have almost double the amount of covid patients now as we did at our peak last year. Most of our beds are filled and the only reason they are not (yet) is because they are using areas of hospitals that they normally wouldn't.
Front line people are being asked to work weeks without days off often much longer days than normal*. This is getting worse as we have 1100 infected workers now. Our projections show this surge lasting up to two months. They ended by asking people if they would like to volunteer on their dates off.

All this with overwhelming numbers backing up that the vaccinations and boosters work. Almost all of the admitted patients are not vaxxinated. A small percentage are not boosted and a smaller percentage are vaxxed and boosted but still have some issues. So basically idiots are making the lives of people who try to help others hell.
