My son has a very close friend at college. They spend a lot of time together, he met he through his other friend who plays on the women's team. We just found out her dad died yesterday of COVID.

Now, her relationship with her dad was not great. In fact, he got angry at her for getting vaccinated before heading off to college. But even before that, it wasn't great. She has two half brothers, and her mom and the guy were no longer together. When her half brother started driving he got a new Honda Civic. This girl drives a 2004 Saab convertible with one of the latches broken. At her half brothers wedding, which she was at, he said to the bride that she was the daughter he never had. Stuff like that. He went into hospital last week after ignoring Drs advice for about 3 weeks. Including going to said wedding.

And now this poor girl is going to always have a cloud over Christmas. My son is beside himself wanting to help but can't. He wants to drive up to Canton himself the day after Christmas just to be there for her and her mom (whom he also likes). She was going to come down and stay with us a few days next week to watch my son play in his alumni game.




Just go get the fucking shot.
