lol - I'm going for the mixed cocktail (AZ on the first shot and Moderna on the second). I can't wait for keys to start sticking to my body.
Can come in handy so you don't lose your keys. I hear this happens at your age.

I think they usually take away your driver's license at his age.

:D

lol - My father-in-law turns 95 on Sunday and he's still behind the wheel.

/He's dragging pieces of picket fence behind his car, mind you :)

My gramps is 97 and was still driving shortly before covid. Not sure if he still is.

Eagerly awaiting the monday announcement. Wonder what the cdn gov will consider proof of vaccination. My brother says the proof/receipt they got after both shots in LA is reminiscent of a till tape receipt youd get from a mom and pop old timey corner store lol

I have a PO box in Point Roberts that I use occasionally when I purchase something in the States and they don't ship to Canada. I hope the border can be re-opened in July as I may have a parcel to pick up.

and will it be like the Bruce Springsteen musical, where AZ is a no-go lol
my sister in Seattle has two shots, but her kid is too young, so they are likely still stuck.

that place is fantastic. we go late at night so there's no border traffic, like the sign says, In, Out.
you would not believe the amount fo stuff in my wife's amazon "buy later" basket.
we used to go at least once a month to pick stuff up.

And on that note my wifes sister and her kids met up with my inlaws at peace arch park yesterday. First time they used that option. Apparently my inlaws had to drive through a gauntlet of cdn homeowners on zero ave that were playing cop and telling people that there was no access/to turn around ... well done nimbys !!!

A cbsa dude was stationed at the park entrance and had a lawn chair. All i could think of ...

I will say that its very inconsistent policy (as per usual) to have pushed so hard (at least in this province) to have kids continue to go to school while saying "kids at school dont cause community spread" to then only allow canadian kids to enter the country after quarantining for 14 days even in situations where both their parents are fully vaccinated and the kids either are not school aged (so they havent been going anywhere/ex[posed to anything) or doing remote schooling because the state they live in allowed that option :ohwell:

my kid's school PTA had a teams meeting on the back-to-school plan last August.
that was basically the message
- kids don't catch it as often
- kids don't get as sick when they do catch it
- kids don't transmit as much (so don't worry only a few grandmas may die)

and that was basically the entirety of the defensive plan.
oh, and open some windows so there is fresh air flow.

i was fucking livid. asked a few pointed questions, but the people on the call (principal and someone from school board) clearly had a script to stick to, and didn't know shit beyond that.
