Tyler Zeller scoring with surprising efficiency - ESPN Boston

Watching him this fall, I really like what Stevens has done with the kid. He looks confident, fast and willing to give up his body, and seems to be a good finisher around the rim. Did this show up in Cleveland? Or is it a product of Steven's system and our guard play?

He was hit or miss in Cleveland. He had his minutes juggled around a bit so it was hard to get a solid read on him. From what I remember, he showed flashes of maybe being a low end starter or a solid 6th or 7th man in a rotation.

Cavs fans wouldn't know.

They just became Cavs fans this summer so they never saw him play for Cleveland

BKS you have got to learn to accept

Turkey I can see him as a reliable 7 if this continues. Not a starter tho

Someone is very upset that LeBron had the nerve to leave Miami. Some Heat fans anger over LeBron never gets old!

Cavs fans are pretty loyal and stick with their team. I think you're off on this one BK.

Well you should really ask a Cavs fan. I've been a Celtics fan since the days of Larry the Legend.

So how long have you been a Heat fan? Five minutes after they won it all in '06? Five minutes after LeBron joined them or five minutes after they won it all in 2012?:pound:

Not defending the Cavs, I just like stirring things up w/ some Heat fans since a few of them seem more than upset that LeBron walked away.

Zeller is a solid transition player, especially for a 7 footer... but sucks in the half court, IMO. His fg% is atrocious for someone his size (especially considering he got a lot of his buckets with the Cavs on fastbreak dunks). He does have a good looking jumper though for a big man... so maybe he'll see improvements in efficiency now that he's in his 3rd year.

Thanks Gordon. I have not seen him take any outside shots, I mean none. he looks like he has good hands underneath and within 5 feet + it seems he always finds a way to get it in. Was he a bad defender? The schtick here is Brad is having luck "transforming" him

He's a good defender in transition and help defense but struggles in half court post defense.

His efficiency had started to improve in his last few months with the Cavs, so I wouldn't be surprised if that trend is continuing. Hes about at that point in his career where a lot of guys make big strides.

I always thought that he had potential but he needed to hit the weight pile since he didn't have the NBA body he needed to bang in the paint.

I just hope this is consistent play on his part over the next month. It would be funny if they could turn him into the rim protector they don't have
