I could be wrong, but thought I read that the controlling owner had to have at least 30% of the shares.

All she needs is two other Bowlens out of the 4 others who didn't sue her. All the 30% means is the owner has to control the company that controls 30% of the team. Brittaney is putting together her group - the group will have a business name - the company will own the 30%. Mark Davis and his mom own 47% of the Raiders through their company. Mark owns only 14% of the total, but he is the CEO of the company his mom established.

I say weed smoking because Smith was one of the first players to admit after his career was over that he smoked weed all the time while playing in the NFL and back then nobody really talked about it, everyone wanted to hide it.

So glad that the ownership issue is finally going to be resolved. We'll never forget Mr. B but it's time to move on.

I would guess that it’s a small minority of sports owners that are popular. We were fortunate to have one of those few. Simply from an odds standpoint, I’ll speculate that the next owner won’t have that same popularity.

I agree .. and I am hoping that Elway and Manning are in different groups as a way of bettering their odds, with one eventually going to work for the other ..

God help us. When I first moved to Washington DC the Redskins were winning championships. Jack Kent Cooke and Joe Gibbs running a reasonably righteous ship. Dan Snyder, well, he bought the team and installed a decades long misery Index. I’m just hoping that the new Broncos ownership lands closer to Pat Bowlen than to Dan Snyder
