I don't think I would be happy or sad about that pick. I mean I see the potential. I see why the team might have interest. Still you watch the last couple of years and it is a whole lot of bad.

Exactly how I feel.

But his tools are off the charts. His development doesn't arouse me though.

This is the tough part about college football. You have such a wide range of coaching. Some of the best schools are not always the ones that can recruit the best but they can coach players to play beyond what most thought they could do. Then you have others that can recruit like crazy but those 5-star athletes do nothing. I do think some of that is just the level of coaching these players receive. So with Hackenberg when he had an NFL style coach showing the promise that he did is that what he could do if developed more with actual good coaching or did he just maximize his ability early and really does struggle with some of the basic things needed for an NFL QB? Throw in is he too damaged from all the hits and everything else to build back up his confidence to maximize his ability? To me 3rd round and beyond I am ok drafting him as he is a guy worth taking some risk on. The 1st 2 rounds though please Elway don't touch this kid.

If Denver stays pat in draft throughout, I wouldn`t mind Dak at 63 just because of the qb situation going on in Denver. What I wouldn`t mind either is passing on Dak, filling other needs and giving Kessler a shot around 5th rd. Anyway you look at it, none of the qbs in this draft will be ready to play 1st year and they shouldn`t. Maybe Denver gives Vernon Adams a try with one of their three 7th rd picks also???

I ain't answering the question for DC here - just an observation. Killebrew is mocked to us a lot. Makes me assume it will never happen.

I don't have enough room to type with this question. Ill narrow it down

Early I like Darian Thompson (Boise State), Miles Killebrew (Southern Utah) and Sean Davis (Maryland), Keanu Neal (Florida), Karl Joseph (WV, not as high on him as some, but I still like him just not the top S like some have him), Vonn Bell (Ohio State)

Mid I like James Bradberry (CB/S), Justin Simmons (Boston College), DeAndre Houston Carson (William & Mary), Tyvis Powell (Ohio State) Kavon Frazier (Central Michigan)

Late- Jordan Lomax (Iowa) great friend of mine so will be fun to see where he goes, Trae Elston, (Miss State), Trevon Stewart (Houston) Adrian McDonald (Houston) Deon Bush (Miami), Tyler Hunter (FSU) Brian Randolph (Tennessee) Elijah Shumate (Notre Dame)

As much as I love Killebrew and Neal I don't see us taking him because he will go fairly early and he is a lot like TJ Ward.

No love for Alex Collins ??

We've talked about Alex Collins quite a bit around here. Not a RB I am "in love" with, but fits our system well. He isn't a good receiver out of the backfield and like SpringStein said he fumbles a bit too much. Still I would be very interested in him around our RD 3 pick if he was still there. The fumbling he can overcome. Tatum Bell did, but it is always a concern. He would fit out system well. Just don't expect a lot out of him on the receiving end. He can hit and cut though and his vision looks good.

Thanks DC - very much appreciate your response.

Tyvis Powell - has caught my eye has a Bronco type mid round pick - who they can develop into a top player.

At any rate - no question in my mind the Broncos will select one and maybe two Safeties in the draft.

A guy who will likely go undrafted - from Colorado Jared Bell - is a safety prospect I hope the Broncos sign.

I think that is a reach on Washington. He actually is not that great of an athlete and coupled with the solicitation, i think he could slide to end of round 3 early round 4. I would rather bring in Willie Henry

For safety, I really like Sean Davis in the third and Justin Simmons in the 4th or 5th

The mock drafts I've seen that don't have us taking a QB in the 1st has us taking Robert Nkemdiche or Jarran Reed. Both are DT'S but can anyone tell me about them?
