"Tyree's catch = luck
Edelman's catch = all Brady"

Words!

I never want to hear about the Tyree catch from a Pats fan again

At least he made that catch with single coverage

I think there were former Falcons that had a shot to pick the pass Edelman caught

Well, you're definitely right about Ray and maybe with Brady but he don't think so according to the article I read...
Maybe they needed each other, kinda like Brooks and Dunn, great together, apart not so much....
Both of those crackers have 5 rings though, so I don't think they give a rat stool over the matter anyway...:D

No doubt they needed each other but I believe Brady was the bigger cog. I doubt he wins 5 SB's and goes to 7 w/o the coaching staff and team BB assembled, You know Brady will never take the credit , has passion for the game and jokes around like the Madden Cover curse. He look like the Robot in Lost In Space with the bubble he was wearing, Danger Danger Will Robinson!!

So, the same people who want to say "it's a quarterback-driven league" really should be saying "it's a quarterback-driven league.....unless the Patriots win. Then it's a coach-driven league or a system-driven league or a team-driven league."

Cause that's the way some of you act.

You do realize Belichick is only a .500 coach w/o Brady and only went to playoffs once in 7 seasons w/o Brady. Belichick prob would have been fired after going 5-11 and 0-2 before Brady took over for an injured Bledsoe. They missed the playoffs both years Brady didn't play and have been to 11 AFCG and 6 SB's with TB. Sure it's a team effort but it's more TB than BB for the success. And thios is from a fan from 1970 that remember the 1-15 and 2-14 seasons, doormats for the first 30 years. Belichick cost NE a chance for SB the year before, making bad decisions that cost them HFA and then not kicking FG's with 6 min left on clock VS Denver in AFCG,

Jimmy only played 1 1/2 games before he got injured and then Brissett played 2 1/2 and was banged up too, they also scored 10 points a game less which is huge. Belichick is a defensive genius and doesn't have an offensive system, that's all on Mc Daniels. The year Cassell played he threw 29 less td's than Brady did in 07 with same team, much easier schedule and missed the playoffs, have to beat the Phins, Buff and Jets. Again it;s a team effort, need the D which they have really good ones and haven't taken a WR in the first round in Brady's tenure, having to make the Wes Welkers and Edelman's your no#1 receiver, who were return specialists first. Brady has also had the 50 td season, 5000 yard season, great td/int ration 10 4th winning drives in playoffs, 2x as many as Montana and I think Peyton has only 1. 2 years ago had the biggest comeback in SB history ( down 10 in 4th Q) and this year you know they were down 25 points late in 3rd Q and needed to make both 2 point conv, White was huge too in the comeback. Guy has ice in his veins like Montana and doesn't fold or choke under any circumstances, some QB's wilt after a hit or int. Again Belichick's system was 5-11 and 0-2 and then went to the SB and won 3 out of the next 4

They beat AZ when they missed a fg, and we know how there season went, beat Miami and Houston and then shut out at home to Buffalo to go 3-1 . They never lose to Buffalo esp at home and first shutout in 40 years .I hear what your saying but BB has won jack squat w/o Brady. As a lifelong Pat's fan, I think that Brady has been more instrumental in the NE success than BB, like a 60/40 split. My opinion also is that Ray Lewis was the guy who made the Ravens's tick ( there for both SB's) than Billick or Harbs, because they have won shit w/o him so far. Now when Brady retires in a few years, and if Belichick still coaches and wins a SB or 2 w/o him, I will eat humble pie, but imo Brady saved Belichick's job in NE. If he had another 5-11 or 4-12 season I believe Kraft would have tossed his ass and figured it was Parcell's stirring the drink in the 97 season with Bledsoe as QB in SB

Some people are naturally humble or appreciate and worked hard to get what they have accomplished. He was drafted at 199th, 6 shit bum QB's before him and only started because of the injury to Bledsoe, They you have cocky players like Sapp who don't have 1 oz of humble in their bones, just their makeup. Find me 1 Brady interview where he takes credit for a win, all the wins are because of the team and I have heard him take blame for a loss. He knew that Butler and White were huge in the last 2SB's and that's why he is the only QB that I can remember giving away the SB MVP trucks. Also first SB team to come out as a team and has refused the Captains position to give it to younger guys

Why do you hate paragraphs, Sonny?

That works both ways compadre

When the Pats lose, like to the Giants twice, it becomes a "Offensive Line driven league"

No no no no no!

It becomes a "wide receiver's dropping the ball driven league".

That's what Gisele said, anyways,

Slinky lack of education . First I had to learn the English language coming over from Europe, not finishing school and then a 10 1/2 year hiatus didn't help

Don't get me wrong - I'm no grammar nazi, it's just that those large blocks of text are sometimes difficult to read.

Just try throwing in a couple return strokes in there just to break it up. You'll do fine.

But in all seriousness, this obsession over quarterbacks has, in my opinion, been a disservice to the excellent job the Giants defense did in those two Super Bowls.

They held the Patriots under 20 points both games.

Especially in 2007 when they held the highest scoring offense in history (at that time) to 14 points. And all anyone ever wanted to talk about was Eli's "clutch" throw.

I blame Patriot fans for creating the beast

Adam Vinatieri heroics, Malcolm Butler with the greatest defensive play in SB history, even last seasons Merriweather sack, or Edelmans catch....."Brady has 5 rings baby"

So now I give Eli all the credit Justin Tuck should get

You Brady haters spewed garbage for 18 months. Then Brady comes back and wins ring #5. Now everyone is twisting his words and calling him a fraud.

He says he's going to play until he's 45. That's a fact it's all over the TV and radio. He said it outright yesterday.

5 more years, 3 more SB rings, every friggin' QB and passing record will be his come 2022.

No one will be even close. No one will ever come close.

Bitch and moan and scream and cry..................ain't gonna change a thing..........10 Super Bowls, 8 Championships, 6 MVPs...................

No team or QB will ever match the Patriots or Tom Brady.................End of Story.

I have to throw the Peyton Manning fans in there as well.

For whatever reason, there became a complete obsession with some fans with the whole Brady vs Manning debate.

Maybe we can blame fantasy football for this with the whole obsession over better stats as opposed to doing what a team needs you to do to win games.

But, yeah, the whole Brady-Manning debate reminds me of the NBA fans who root for players instead of teams.

There is definitely truth to the fact that you need a QB to win big in this league, you as a Texan fan know better than anyone.......But plenty of great QB's have not been great in the big spot, and still came out of that game with a big win

As a Texan fan, I don't even know what the hell a QB even is anymore.

But, yeah, there have been some winning QBs that were absolutely horrible in the big game and still won.

Look at Roethlesberger's first Super Bowl.

Maybe most brutal performance ever by the Super Bowl winning QB. At least in the Quarterback-driven league era.
