Oh my f'n gawt. :wtf2: I didn't think Brad Stevens would ever leave Butler. He has to be the youngest HC in the NBA ever.

Reports have him replacing Doc Rivers in Boston.

Good Luck young man. I'm not sure this is a good move, but time will tell.

That is really surprising. I figured he was a lock to spend the rest of his life at the college of his choice

 Good for him. Bad for Butler, but their fans were getting full of themselves anyway.

Link?

Even if it doesn't work out for him, he could always be the next Rick Pitino

You make the assumption that he isn't. If things go well in Boston, he's set, but even if they don't, it's not like his fall-back options (UNC, Duke, Indiana, Kentucky) are replacing their coaches this year. The Celtics and Butler are both placeholder jobs at this point, but Boston is the better placeholder with unlimited upside.

Who thinks he lasts more then 2-3 years? I'm not sure about the hiring, but I'm not shocked Danny went to college to find a coach.

Those teams will not replace their HC anytime soon. But SU.......

Have to take a second to lol @ my butler friends on Facebook crying that Brad did them wrong and ruined his legacy. What a joke.

This is probably one of five jobs he would've left for. It's not like he left Butler for the Magic or for Iowa State he left for one of the most historic basketball teams ever. He would've had a hard time finding a better job offer ever. It's nothing for them to be complaining about IMO.

This is shocking! I didn't think he was ever going to leave Butler, this is a huge hit for Butler because I don't know how they're gonna find a decent coach this late, and bad for the Big East, Butler was one of their big adds.

Decent move I guess. I would've liked to see us get someone other than Stevens to coach us while rebuilding. Still shocked.

Getting grown-ass men to respect a little boy is asking waaaay too much. He's not qualified.
