It's far too quite around here. Let's get some "hot stove"-esque discussion going.

So who's your "greatest fantasy RB of all time"? Now, i say all time, but in reality, only really counting the era where fantasy began becoming mainstream. So no, we're not talking Gale Sayers or Jim Brown, not even Walter Peyton or Marcus Allen.

Feel free to post your reasoning for your choice, the while point was to generate some discussion.

I have to vote for LT because when I started getting into fantasy, he was the king. The first league I ever ran was 2006, which was the year that he had 1815 rushing yards, 28 rushing touchdowns, 508 receiving yards, 3 receiving touchdowns, and 2 passing touchdowns. In standard scoring that was 429 fantasy points, which means he averaged just under 27 fantasy points a game. If you played against him that year, you lost. The guy was unfreakingbelievable.

I went other. IMO this is one of those questions that change every year.

Like @Bandit said LT's 2006 was unreal. Shawn Alexander had a season like that in Seattle, I don't remember what his numbers where, but they were up there. IN a league I was in where only scoring counted Kareem Abdul-Jaber's 17 touchdown season was great for a late round pick. Marshall Faulk averaging over 2000 yards from scrimmage for the Rams for about four or five years was another one.

In the end, I look for 100 yards and a TD each week from my RBs, anything over that is a bonus.

Welll there's no arguing against L.T., nearly voted for him myself. But this is cumulative in my eyes. . And Emmits 13 year career produced 3 more 1000 yard seasons than LT (nearly 6 more a he narrowly mused a 1000 by less than 80 yards 3 times, including his final year), Two 20 TD seasons to LT's one, and nearly 400 more fantasy points scored over their entire career. And he did this before the offensive explosion era, so you didn't need to score 130 points to win every week

Well, I'm not really looking for a guy who had the greatest season, or who may have been the best value. I'm asking who, over the course of their career, did you always want to have because he was just that damned good.

I nearly entered Alexander as an option, but figured her just didn't do it long enough to really qualify for the discussion

In that case I changed it to Faulk. IN 12 seasons he averaged over 1500 yards from scrimmage and 11 1/2 TDs.

Barry was insane, dude could put up a 30 spot in no time, then, because his line was almost always crap, he'd be less than average. Playing a Barry owner, you just prayed that this wasnt going to be one of "those" weeks

His line was pretty good tbh. Never real impressive QB, but the lines were much better than people think of them today. Kevin Glover, Jeff Hastings, Lomas Brown were all multiple Pro Bowlers.

When Mike Utley was paralyzed the line took a hit though.

I think Barry carried them to their pro bowls.. as in, Barry is leading the llegue in rushing, his line must be doing well, we'll vote for them". Never seen a RB as great as he was fighting behind the line of scrimmage as often as he had to

Maybe.

Glover and Brown were exceptional imo. And Hartings was keybfor Pittsburg when he left on account of Glover having Center on lockdown.

Barry's last couple years he had scrubs ahead of him. His best lineman all left. LB to Arizona, KG to Seattle and Hartings to Pittsburg.

Lt but I would have said Chris Johnson for my personal best but he was not a choice. Lt my first pick the then I took Brady and Randy moss on the turn at 2 and 3. That was the big year. That team sailed to victory only had one fluke loss that whole year. Yea Lt. Good memories

I've never loved a player in fantasy like I did Randy Moss.

Kinda in real life too.

Got to meet him after the Motor City Bowl. We played that day at the Silverdome. Him in the game. Me at halftime, on my trumpet. Little "Whiter Shade of Pale" solo for me. An early TD for him. Lol

Wouldn't give me any of his chicken after the game. Can't blame him, he didn't blame me for asking.

Won my first ever title as a single owner thanks to him my first year. And honestly, if I ever meet him again, I'll tell him.

While I agree with you about Emmitt and his longevity, by the time I really started playing fantasy football he was already retired. Plus I have kind of a sore spot regarding him for two reasons, one is that he's a Gator, two is that I was always a huge Barry Sanders guy (tied for my favorite all-time player with Marino) and I always thought that if Barry got to run behind the same offensive line that Emmitt did he would have rushed for 3000 yards in a season. I would have picked Barry, but he would have driven me crazy as a fantasy owner because he would rush for 180 yards and two touchdowns one week and then have a 34 yard game the next week, plus he was never a big touchdown guy.

Only been playing since 2011, during my time Frank Gore and Matt Forte seem like they've been the best bang for the buck running backs.

As a die hard Emmit supporter. ..i always secretly admit, to myself, that if they'd have switched teams. Emmit would be a blip on the radar, Barry would've destroyed every rushing record
