You're on an island on that one my man.

We have had this conversation 100 times and it's unlikely either of us will ever change the others opinion. People like shiny things... Hope all is well my friend...

He was only getting pulled the last 2 seasons because Bobby Ross believed in the using a vulture in goalline situations 12 TDs on 50 carries for Touchdown Tommy
Eric Lynch had that hundred yard, two touchdown game in 93.

When Barry was hurt.

That one year Tommy had 18 carries, six TDs. Crazy.

And neither he nor Barry played for the Lions again.

Poor planning. I refused to get married any time during football season. I told her I didn't want our anniversary to fall on an important game or something. She really wanted to get married on the day we met or our first date or something, but it was in February and I wasn't going to put myself in that situation where it falls on a Super Bowl day. She insisted that she "was never gonna be mad at me if it did" or some shit, but I wasn't falling for that.

Right there with you. Our anniversary is March 29th, right in between the Super Bowl and the NFL draft when there is absolutely nothing going on, can't get any safer than that!! Hell it's even before the NHL and NBA playoffs start and baseball is still in spring training. The only sporting event going on is March madness, but the final four doesn't even happen until April anymore.

Mine is March 4th. Maybe conference tourneys going on then.

All That matters was the points scored, this is best fantasy RB, not best RB. ..i would NOT pick Emmit to be the best RB ever, that would be a different debate between Sayers, Brown, Peyton and Sanders. . so no idea why you'd think theres a discrepancy as there's an obvious difference

I know this was not the point of the thread, but I would actually take Emmit over Barry as far as best RB.

The reason for me is simple. Emmit is getting you positive yards. Just about every time. He hit the hole with authority and went north and south. Barry was absolutely spectacular in the open field and at making guys miss in tight spaces. I have never enjoyed watching a football player more than I enjoyed watching Barry Sanders. However, what made him Great and so fun to watch was also his biggest weakness. He danced around behind the line looking to pop the big run too often. When he hit it, awesome. But, how many Lions' drives ended in a 3rd and 13 because he didn't? Meanwhile, the Cowboys are looking at 3rd and 4 on Emmit's less successful runs.

Emmit contributed more to winning football games, IMO, and I think he was the superior player in real life.

Man. That would be a deal breaker for me. The first so weeks of the NCAA tourney are where all the action is!

late June to early August is the time to get it done. Only regular season baseball to worry about, which I could care less about. Mine is August 4th, which works well.

That's hilarious. That's @leftypower's anniversary too.

such a difficult question to answer... I wasn't really a fantasy head until the mid 2000's, so I missed most of LTs Prime... For most of my days the best RB was arian Foster... But his prime was shorter than some others...

and the really difficult part of this question is fantasy football and real football has changed so much, even from when I started... The RBs I like now are 3-down backs who can catch the ball... even though LT and Faulk were so great at that, fantasy RBs back then didn't have to be that... But now they do, and that makes me sour on what should be my answer in Adrian Peterson...

So, I would say the best Fantasy RB in my days is Arian Foster, at least over Adrian Peterson...

But since I did play fantasy when LT was still good- even though I missed his longevity... I would have to take him...

But if I stab my heart with reason and logic, it's LT.

I don't think you can compare them. Put Barry behind the Great Wall of Dallas and something tells me he wouldn't be looking sideways so much.

Emmitt is unmatched in being a horse... that's about it, imo. The Bruce Smith of running backs.

And if you started in the late '90's, Marshall Faulk would have been the reason you took up fantasy. ;)

I agree with your point though.... many ways to look at it.

Looks like LT is a landslide winner in our community. Honestly surprised there wasn't a little more support for Emmit, Faulk and/or Peterson

Look for QB's soon!

Well, it wasn't that hard for me - I was on the wrong end of fantasy when he was cranking out points left and right. Never had him when he was in SD. ..... consensus first pick each yr.
