I don't think it is their age, or their knowledge of football that you should worry about. The biggest thing to worry about is the fact that these guys will not only be trying to choose the 4 best teams, but will be trying to get a spot for their own conference. The money is the MOST IMPORTANT factor in all of this. Don't fool yourself by thinking otherwise.

Your question was do they know more. I answered that. If you want to talk about if they should be on the committee at all then there is an whole other side to that discussion but it is common knowledge around here that every sport regardless of level is driven by money. At the school, conference, and NCAA level.

Just don't see that happening. Not unless the Big 12 and ACC combine and I don't see that happening, either.

What you will probably see (and I think it's worse) is a 6 team playoff with one at-large bid going to the highest ranked mid-major. That will suck but I think that is where we are headed, knowing all of these bleeding heart idiots we have running the college football these days.

It is physically impossible to narrow down 124 teams into 4 without leaving out at least one, probably more. I think that the tie breaker should be take the conference champion over the runner up, yeah, I know, that will make SEC and PAC fans angry, otherwise why even have conference champs, if it doesn't mean something?

Are they having the 2 semi games on campus? Where the game's are played is kind of a crucial point. Using the bowl games as part of the "tournament" is a horrible idea because of how incredibly expensive it would be for the average fan or students to attend both games. When it grows to 8-12 team playoffs it will pretty much guarantee no students will attend which is the whole reason college is better than the NFL is because of the actual experience of the game.

You just aren't being realistic, but then, you are a Buckeye fan.

Anything over four will just take away from the game, IMO. You can't expect these "student athletes" to keep putting their bodies on the line, and their studies on the back burner, just to satisfy your idea of a playoff.
