The ironic thing about the NCAA hate is that the NCAA SAVED College Football when it was formed in 1906 at the suggestion of President Teddy Roosevelt. CFB was very dangerous, with many deaths, and the NCAA was formed to clean-up and save the game - which many wanted to ban.

And you think the networks are going to fall all over themselves to buy the rights to a conference that can only play each other, that can’t play for the championship? And all so a handful of star players can make some money?

Already nobody on the west coast watches west coast football. Nobody on the east coast watches west coast football. And now they’re playing in meaningless games

They’ll pay to broadcast the best football, not just some good players, and they aren’t going to pay big money for games that viewers in the eastern time zones don’t watch now, much less ones in the future that will have no bearing on the championship.
