he isn't the only player to have multiple off the field issue, IE MARSHAWN LYNCH, 9 is way to many games for a guy who checked himself into rehab and missed 5 games to do so. if they said 9 games and then gave him 5 off for that and made it only 4 games I wouldn't be complaining, but this suspension is equal to a year away from football with those 5 games added in.

I hope he appeals and still sits while waiting on the appeal to go through, they will hopefully cut 4 to 5 games off of this and he can already have 1 or 2 games credited for sitting them out while the appeal is going through

The guns charges were originally felony charges (stupid California law) which were reduced to misdomeanors.

9 games is and odd number for a suspension. This might be a prelude to getting it knocked down to 4 games as he was out for 5 last season in rehab (time served).

Aldon is ALWAYS on ESPN getting handcuffed and put in a police car for something stupid, I mean if it was only the DUI I can see why you guys would get mad but there is a laundry list of things that this man had done to get him in the news

It doesn't matter that Rice didn't get charges he got caught on video beating his GF. Its still a fact he beat his GF. His case is a lot more serious then what A. Smith did. Smith already missed 5 games last year for the DUI.

so let me get this right, the man admits he has a problem and walks away and goes to rehab for 5 games and you still suspend him for 4 more games for substance abuse, ultimately making him miss 9 games for a dui, then add another 5 games onto that for conduct policy???

and yet again 2 games for beating a woman on camera?? I guess have an alcohol problem and admitting it and seeking treatment is worse than domestic violence/beating a woman!!!! WOW
