So many Aldon Smith apologists in here. It's not like the guy made 1 mistake. He's simply not smart enough to stay out of trouble.

I'm sorry, but in this day and age anyone who claims to have a bomb in an airport gets absolutely no benefit of the doubt. He deserves everything coming to him.

I can't defend him for his actions...not even the gun charges because he is old enough to know better. I hope he learns from this and has a great future without another incident. This goes to any other player who fucks up...no excuses....on any team.

For the record, he did not claim to have a bomb at the airport and no charges were filed. You can't even get your facts straight, again.

I'm not trying to troll. The guy has had enough chances so at this point he should have no problem accepting his punishment. He's an adult. How many times should he be given a slap on the wrist before enough is enough?

Just because no charges were filed doesn't mean he didn't do it.

Ray rices wife didnt press charges against him and they both agreed to seek counseling so why did he get suspended at all? Aldon is ALWAYS on ESPN getting handcuffed and put in a police car for something stupid, I mean if it was only the DUI I can see why you guys would get mad but there is a laundry list of things that this man had done to get him in the news

Aldon Smith didn't have charges pressed against him on the majority of his issues or were reduced to misdemeanors. He also agreed to seek counseling and missed 5 games in the middle of the NFL season for it. Why is he getting suspended at all?

And the Seahawks on in the news more often with their practice fines, weed smokers, Lynch DUI continuance, more than Aldon.
