3 starts and 2 years. At what point- how many years would he have to do it to get some credit?

Hes getting credit as a 4th/5th starter for any half decent team.

Rather than being called someone who shouldnt be in MLB.

say what you want about Andres Gimenez- but hes having an "off year" and is going to go something like 15 homers, 30 steals, and is the best defensive 2nd basemen in baseball. That def. has substantial value. ESPN has him 5th in WAR in the majors for 2B.

It was the White Sox but Ober looked pretty solid tonight. Still made the 1 mistake that ended up in another homer. Hanging one to shitty Andrus.

But he did not look fatigued at all. The time off definitely helped there. Gave up a lot of weak contact and got some good swings and misses. Aside from the homer the other hits were all kinda poked into good spots

Solid return. Got two more starts Id figure to try and win a potential 4th starter spot(should we advance from the WC)

I think it was smart to give him a break for a while- he was ineffective for a stretch and was racking up the innings. Giving him time to rest and limiting his innings to make him available now seems to have been a good idea. He is not a typical "young guy" in that he is already 28 - but he def had thrown a lot of innings.

I read whre he was one of the tops on the list for guys with the stride towards home plate which makes his fastball play up a little more. GAvin Williams was even a little higher on the list.

Yup. Since hes 6'9 when he throws 92 it looks way faster. Thats how he gets away with high heat average velo.

Williams isnt as tall, but hes still tall and he has way more natural velo so doesnt surpise me hes way up there as well

I was gonna say, Guardians playing some good ball(albeit too little too late) then they promptly give up 4 runs on 1 double in the 8th and lose.

Bringing in Keuchel out of the bullpen in a 2-3 run game is the equivalent of just punting the game.

Other NL WC teams not happy with the Twins.

Detroit has their sights on the 2nd place championship
Please pass them up!!!! Tigers and Twins have gotten super high picks for sucking big time wang lately--- I would like to see the Guardians at least draft in the top 10-15. It has been 10 years since they had a top 10 pick---- highest was #14....

as random as baseball is- it usually is a pretty big advantage to draft at or near the top.

Guardians highest pick in years was #5- Clint Frazier- which was a bust obviously. Lindor at #8 was good.

Guardians havent had a top 3 pick since 1992- when they took Paul Shuey #2.

Twins "recent" top 3 picks- Lewis, Buxton, Mauer.

Tigers there are so many- Clark, Jobe, Torkelson, Mize just very recently.

Don't forget Jenkins who we just took and is currently shredding every level hes played at. Might have a Jackson Holliday type ascension through the rest of the minors next year if all goes well.

As for Guardians idk if losing much rest of the way will get them that much higher. But obviously not much to play for as far as winning goes so might as well get as high as possible.

Leaving Royce in after he pulled up in the 6th was negligent.
