If I list off busts out of college, does that mean you should never spend a high pick on making a college player your franchise QB? No. No, it does not. Those players have proven even less than a QB who has had success in 3-4 games like Jimmy G/McCarron.

Of course not but you have to wonder if he is equal or better than Dalton why don't they use him. I get the salary and teams do sometimes play guys because they are getting paid but I think winning is and should be the object.

following up on what you are saying you cant sit a potential upgrade because of salary . all companies lay off people whose salary is not in line with production . so again if dalton 's play wasnt in line with the salary he is making the AJ should have been playing if he was indeed a better option

the above link shows the cap hit for andy dalton in 2018 is 2.4 mil with no hit in the next 2 years

the cap hit for 2017 was 15 mil which he would have been paid say midway through the season if AJ mccarron was the answer

so i dont see the "money " argument for andy dalton as holding any water at all . you have maybe 17 /18 mil tied up at qb for the bengals in 2017 , the year in question for the excuse , which isnt out of line for the position on a total team outlook
so if the starter makes say 3.5 mil

i do love how the SDFC has for 3 years dissected every play KC has gone through from OTA 's to mini camps , to TC , to preseason games to the regular season and playoffs and then want to talk about "this KC stuff has been spiraling out of control for years " that BS has contributed to it ?

I will simply say.. if that were true, we would not have had a large portion of the fan base hoping the QB would fail or otherwise be gotten rid of. So IM not buying the BUllshit of "Shark get on board with Smith, because a TRUE Redskins fan would be 100% behind him." Because for the last three years alot of TRUE Redskins fans were 100% against our starting QB.

As a Redskins fan for more than 40+ years, I don't associate with that "large portion of the fan base hoping the QB would fail"...unless obviously, it's on the hoop. The many Redskins fans I've watched every game with on game day, cheer for the burgundy and gold...whoever our QB might be.

I don't know any "TRUE Redskins fans" who "were 100% against our starting QB"...but, that's just me.
