As far as I'm concerned... It's Roquan... then its everyone else

GWfOZEyWwAAOLuC

Easily the Browns weakest position, aside from RB minus Chubb.

Excellent deal for the Steelers. Only guaranteeing him his final year of his previous deal, while paying him less per year over the next 2 seasons. The major part of this deal is the signing bonus, which essentially pays him an additional year upfront. But there is zero risk for the 2 yr extension.

The trap that the Ravens, and Lamar, fall into every year is that they all so desperately want him to be a QB...when he's not. He's a really freaking good RB who happens to also be able to throw the ball pretty well. But as a pure QB - he's nothing special overall. Problem is - not sure he physically could handle year in/out of being used like a college QB at the NFL level....so you get some really good stretches, but then also a lot of head scratching decisions and losses.

When you watch KC last night in stretches, or some of the previous Bengals games - when they only rush 3 as a contain rush and not a pure rush, then drop 2 or 3 LB's into space just kind of hovering around, and drop the other 5 into deeper coverage....he kind of freaks. He can't run because they have that shut off, he can't hit the quick outlet because that is shut off with the hovering LB's, and he's not consistently accurate enough to throw it deep all game long...he gets a bit neutralized.

I thought on that last drive KC kind of got away from what they had been doing - the rush got too deep allowing him too much running room, and the LB's and others got too deep allowing consistent dump offs for enough yards each time to move the chains. You saw it tense up on Jackson once there wasn't room for him to operate closer to the goal. He missed a wide open WR, got lucky he got a pass off out of bounds, and then did make a nice throw, but wasn't good enough.

Not sure why his narrative changes every offseason. They've been sayin the same thing every year about him... Its always "he just needs to take that next step". It's been 4-5 years of them saying that. He's a great game-changer, but he does the most damage with his legs. Once you force him to throw, he's not consistent enough to beat you through the air.

Baltimore OL needs to get right quick. They still boast too much talent to look that poorly. Going to be a long year if they can't get Derrick Henry goin.

He's close to just 1 dimensional, and that can take you far as long as he's healthy (and as a runner that's always going to be a question), but the top teams will stomp their ass always. Good enough to take them to the playoffs consistently and pick in the high 20's.

No...he's definitely a QB. He's a 2-time MVP winning QB at that. He may not fit what you feel a QB should be, but that's probably more of a you problem.

I could have sworn they beat some top teams last year.

He can beat some good teams. You don't go 13-4 without beating some good teams. But I don't think he can ever get you to the Superbowl. The teams that go there, they know how and are able to contain Lamar.
