He isn't smart enough to help - First you can't fix stupid - You can educate people sometimes, but they first have to want help. He is one of those people that you leave the room while he is babbling so much that he doesn't notice you're gone until he has finished talking.

If everyone just stopped responding the idiot would probably just argue with himself.

That's what I have done since yesterday - He has an opinion on absolutely everything and tries to correct absolutely everyone from what I have seen-If he can get Taco Bell to bring back the apple empanada again- I might consider him to slightly less than stupid - Until then- you are correct- He isn't worth the time - and responses are so bizarre - He called Davis a one year rental in one post -

I don’t mind him this place was getting boring, dude likes to mix it up, knows his stuff. He’s an asshole but I like smart people. Seems very spectrumy and doesn’t watch a lot of games. If he bothers you scroll past.

Look at their statistics, and contracts.

"Spotty" is better than consistently bad, which is what Vincent is. And that's not remotely why James played in the first quarter of that game, as Redick said afterwards, when horrified observers asked specifically what the hell he was thinking, in doing so.

Milton was brilliant in the next game, by the way -- 21 points on 7-8 shooting, with 4 assists and 4 rebounds. A vastly better game than Vincent has ever played for the Lakers.

Nice job cherry-picking the only decent game by Milton this season. In a blow out game, with a shortened roster (no Christie). He's getting minutes by default.

Tonight? Milton is invisible at best, Vincent 12 pts on 4-7 from 3.

He appears to be a child out of touch with reality and craving attention - I have decided that it's best to ignore him - He seldom says anything worth the time to read

They were the #1 seed, in reality.

The point is that Milton has been on the team for a couple weeks, makes a little above minimum wage, and when given opportunity, has played a far better game than Vincent ever has for Los Angeles.

In other words, whatever one imagines Vincent contributes, it is replaceable for around minimum wage -- making his contract terrible.

By the way, Milton was +8 in just 15 minutes.

Vincent? A team-low -3 -- even in his best game as a Laker, he is still contributing to losing more than to the alternative. Again, in his best game. When he shoots his 33% average, he's a disaster.

When he shoots 11% like last season, well I hope I don't have to explain.

You said they were the best team in the league. Not the same thing.

There were at least 7 teams with lower Vegas odds at any given time.

But you choose your words to exaggerate your position and then act like a condescending ass when someone posts something that doesn’t line up with your fantasy world beliefs.

Anyone can manipulate stats to tell a story. That is not hard to do.

Need some common sense and logic to make the story compelling. Your story’s lack both at times.

I'll let you live in your misguided illusions. There's a reason Milton makes the minimum, and I wouldn't be surprised if they waive him to sign a 2nd buyout candidate.

All that means is that Milton was on the court with better players vs worse opponents.

Once again, tell me you don't watch games and only read stat lines.

There is a difference between being middle of the pack because you're an up-and-coming young team on your way to becoming a contender like the Thunder and Cavs the past couple of years before taking off this year...and being a team that is perennially in that 4-8 range where you're good enough to make the playoffs most years, but never able to get to contender status.

That's why you see so many teams willing to "tank" for a few years so they can rebuild through the draft...especially teams that are not located in destination cities.
I think we all understand what tlance is saying. Tc1 is just doing his usual bit.

Got all yall talking lol

They talk about me ten times more than they discuss basketball. Which probably explains why they aren't the basketball gurus that they think they are.

At this point, about a dozen people backslapping each other for ignoring most of basketball-related content on this forum, is most of the "content" here.

You said they were the best team in the league. Not the same thing.

They were playing great, and were absolutely loaded with talent, and winning -- more than anyone.

There were at least 7 teams with lower Vegas odds at any given time.

Do you even know thing one about how lines are set, and why? Obviously not. Lines are set to balance the bookmaker's exposure to various events. They do not decide, or attempt to decide, who is the best team.

In particular, a surprising team whose reputation has not yet caught up with their play, will usually have higher odds than they ought to.

For example, right now, one can still get the Rockets at the same price as Phoenix and Minnesota, who have not played nearly as well, and cheaper than the Warriors, who are not likely to make the play-ins.

Anyone can manipulate stats to tell a story. That is not hard to do.
It's been well beyond your grasp, each time you've tried.

Need some common sense and logic to make the story compelling. Your story’s lack both at times.

Apparently not everyone can use an apostrophe, though. Guess those are harder than stats.

I'm not saying Milton is a great player -- but he is paid appropriately. Not ten times his value, like Vincent is.

And there are reasons that Vincent was undrafted, and made minimum wage in Miami for his entire career there. The only person who thought Vincent was an NBA caliber player was Pelinka. Everyone else realized that Miami has made their bones by figuring out how to use undrafted, non-NBA players that no one else has a use for. We've seen that from the Heat over, and over again, and the rest of the NBA has caught on.

Find another player making $11M annually on a multiyear contract who shoots 33% from the arc, and provides no other NBA-level skills. I don't think there are any.
