No chance in hell. You saw him against Baltimore, he sucks
He found out he was starting an hour before the game.
This week, he is taking all of the first team reps in practice so will most likely be much more prepared.

He can't be worse than PJ Walker.

AFCN has become a graveyard for QB's.

Browns - Watson - out
Bengals - Burrow - out
Stools - Pickett - in, but is that a real advantage for them?

The only team with a real QB is the Ratbirds.

I hate that.

The Burrow injury sucks. This division was cooking - I think it was going to be an interesting race to the finish. The Browns are in better position to push through it than the Bengals due to their dominant D and more effective run game. At this point, if Burrow is going to be out for several weeks it would probably be better for them to just fold up the tents and prepare for the draft.

What’s the early scuttle butt on the extent of the injury?

Nobody knows anything. I imagine nobody could know anything until they have an MRI and a specialist take a look at everything. It's hard for me to imagine a wrist on your throwing hand going from not being able to pick up a ball to being able to throw it 40 yards down field within a month of time, but what the hell do I know?

I picked the wrong year to be Bengals heavy with my fantasy team. Have Chase, Mixon, McPherson, and picked up Higgins on the waiver wire.

Yeah it was more of an angry comment than anything. I was still pissed.

DTR had no preparation for the Baltimore game. A lot think that just bc Walker won games he was good, he wasn’t. He was turnover prone and overall bad

we'll see...Walker gives you a chance while the kid gets you beat. Maybe I'm wrong.

Whats crazy is that Jackson was limping around for a while.

You lose Burrow, Watson, Jackson....that is 3/4 of a billion dollars on the IR.

Are we able to tank enough at this point to get Marvin Harrison Jr to replace Higgins in the offseason...hahahaha

Burrow could be see in one clip saying "I felt it pop"...what popped? No clue. Later one a clip showed him saying "I think I'll be fine"...so who knows...

Odd for sure, but the way he threw the ball and then immediately grabbed his wrist/hand makes it seem like something tore somewhere, or has a break in the bone. Guess we'll fine out soon enough...

Cleveland is working out Joe Flacco. TBH, I sorta wish the Bengals would work him out. I'd like to see a back-up that can throw a nice deep ball. WIth Chase and Higgins, Flacco could just do his thing and hope the penalty flags come flying. Of course, he'd be finished after 3 quarters with our protection, but that's another story.

It was a curious decision to let a hobbled Lamar Jackson continue to run the football in a game that the Ravens were leading by 3 scores against a team without their franchise QB. Why? Why would you do that?

Honestly, is there a real backup in the league that a team would be like "Hell yeah, playoffs baby"? Doubtful...so, best case scenerio is, honestly, a crappy pile of crappy crap at QB, tank and let a solid team (Bengals/Browns both have solid rosters in general) get much better draft picks and stock their roster in a manner that a 9-10 win season (but no playoffs) wouldn't allow them to do - and with no post-season to make it worth while winning an extra game, or two.

All aboard the Tank Train! Bengals will have some cap room, so I could see a Tag on Higgins, and still drafting a high level WR in that 10-13 pick range...getting a few more defensive parts to add high level talent on the depth at defense...likely edge and a DT next to Reader...losing sucks, but considering how it's going to go down...let's stock up while there's an opportunity with an unusually low (or high?) draft pick!

If the Bengals D were performing like they did 2 years ago, if they were healthy at receiver, if they had a better running back and a good tight end, I would be down with watching them grit out some wins and trying to compete for the 6th or 7th seed. It would be fun to see.

But the reality is that none of those things are true. We saw what most of these back-ups are capable of during the preseason and it wasn't pleasant to watch. So, I'm with you..... Lets lose some football games! And let's develop some players.... I need to see a bunch of DJ Turner, Jordan Battle, Joseph Ossai and Myles Murphy. When Chase Brown gets healthy, get him in the lineup. Play Chuck Sizzle and Iosivas once he is healthy. We need to see what these guys can do. I don't see any reason to bring back Hubbard on a gimpy ankle, Hendrickson shouldn't push it on a bad knee and we don't need to see a bunch of Mixon and Boyd when there is no plan for them in the future.

And for the love of god.... Now that we don't have to protect the franchise, lets see if there are any back-up lineman worth keeping. Get Carman back out there. Play Scharping, Smith and Ford. Let Volson grab some pine and think about all of those stunts that he doesn't understand. If these guys all suck like we think they do, then lets get some new guys.

Sorry I saw the report and this was my reaction.
