I'd argue all day I'd rather have the Browns receivers over the Ravens.

Neither group is anything crazy though

I guess to me that depends on how well Flowers does and if Beckham can rebound after a year off at his age. As of right now, I would take the Browns WR's also, but I would have a hard time between them and the Steelers. I like the Steelers young WR core.

Bengals... no debate.

Ravens... there is great talent there, but will it even be used to unlock the potential? Ravens have always been a run heavy team, and Lamar has never proven to be a consistent enough passer. If we're just talking about talent (which is what I took it as) then yea they are in the discussion. But if we're talking about the best in terms of who will produce the most, then I'm hard pressed to even mention them above CLE or PIT. OBJ was serviceable in LAR, and flashed his old self at times 2 years ago. But you have to wonder what he looks like after his 2nd major knee injury & all of last year off from football.

CLE... I'm a big fan of Moore, and to some degree I respect Cooper's game. I've always thought Cooper was a tad overrated, but he is a good receiver with plenty of talent. DPJ is the wildcard here. Don't think I've seen enough to think he's a stud by any means. The biggest question here is what Watson will look like getting the ball to these guys.

PIT... They have the talent & potential to rival anybody but that hasn't been proven with any sort of consistency yet. DJ's hands have always been somewhat questionable, and his decision making in the open field leaves a lot to be desired. Pickens is going to be a star. Not a matter of if, but when. I'm hoping A-Rob can contribute in a meaningful way, but to be honest I'm more excited about Calvin Austin who was lost last year to an injury which robbed him of his rookie year. He claimed many times to be ready to play last year but the Steelers kept him on the shelf.

Bateman has not scored well on pff at all and OBJ had spurts in 21 he was decent.
But he's not as good as Cooper at this point even if you're not a huge Cooper guy.

Moore slacked a bit last year but he was without a role and the year prior he was good.

Flowers would have to be pretty damn good to overcome that

This guy is one of the best pass rushers in the NFL.

Preseason Kings!

Season 4 What GIF by The Office

No excuses this year. If they can't do it with this group I would probably say by end of the year that Watson was the guy that didn't look like the old Watson but this team finally has key aspects of the team we've haven't seen for awhile now. Still all going to come down to Watson in the end imo

  • Watson will have a full offseason and got his feet wet last season
  • New DC. Finally
  • DL and DB depth and 3 guys that can go get the QB along with building a nice interior
  • Added a couple WR's for depth and a true slot guy

I think the Browns are intriguing for the reasons you list. The Bengals never figured out how to exploit them, but other teams took advantage of that D-line and it was clear they needed a change of coordinators on that side of the ball. Assuming they get high end play from Watson, they should be a major threat. But, it's still enough of a question that they'll be undervalued by the talking heads and fans. Probably some money to be made on their over/under if you believe in Watson.

I think the real question is which team is going to benefit most from their new coordinator - Cleveland on D? Baltimore on O? Or, Pittsburgh on O?..... Wait, wait.... Now hearing that Pittsburgh DID NOT replace Matt Canada. LOLOLOLOLOLO!!!

O/U for how many games before the fans turn on Matt Canada again?

2021... Fans wanted to blame the majority of the offensive woes on Ben, ignoring the ineptitude in the offensive schemes.

2022... Fans realize it wasn't Ben that was the problem. About midway they wanted Canada gone. Fast forward to this offseason and they now focus blame on the OL and give Canada the benefit of the doubt.

2023... Steelers trade up to draft a stud LT. They signed a top shelf LG and another IOL stud for depth. So what's going to be the excuse this year when this offense labors for 3-3.5 quarters per game?

Tomlin is an amazing coach. But, this is one of the dangers of guys that stick around for a long time - They start getting too much control over their staff and personnel and I don't think it always leads to good decisions. I think the 2022 Patriots are a good example of this. That team went with a defensive coach as their offensive coordinator and they had a QB that was only in his second year. If I were a Steelers fan, I would probably want ownership to intervene and force Tomlin to move in a different direction. But, now that I said that, I'm sure this Canadian offense will suddenly become magical. LOL.

The Browns do indeed have a nice team makeup. I think they have put together a nice roster. It is going to need time to gel with darn near a 1/3rd of the roster being new. I think this division is just tough as nails. We will see how it pans out. If Watson can rebound, if players can stay healthy, etc.
