I think it was suspicious of a DUI. I cant see Aldon Smith lying in front of the media like that(i know he has lied before) because if it comes out that it was a DUI he career is done. he could of said no comment.

That's because you are exercising good judgement. Aldon obviously isn't. He might be ready to fight the charges to try and save himself. Unless SCPD got it totally wrong. If he got arrested for DUI, the police would have to detect the presence of alcohol. Aldon then would have had to either fail a field sobriety test or refuse to cooperate.

If he hit a parked car, how dumb. All he had to do is remain at the scene and notify the owner he hit the car. The police might not even have gotten involved and it could have ended as a civil matter. How dumb on his part

Relax, I come in peace, and the icon is in reference to one of our other local teams. What's more, I don't believe in all this "smack talk" business; one wrong move and guess who ends up looking foolish.

Anyway, I couldn't help but shake my head about this whole new issue with Smith, but whatever happens, you should have a much better team without that basket case mucking things up for you. The sad truth is that some people will NEVER learn, and what team needs that interfering with their performance?

Yeah, he's the man with the tackles and the sacks, but should the league really crack down on him this time, it will take everyone on the defense to step up, not just whoever is chosen to take his place. I don't doubt you guys can do that.

I'm interested to see what happens in court. If the charges are true, he should spend at least 6-12 months in jail. Any other citizen would after their 3rd dui conviction...

Was really hoping he could turn his life around. So immature and a waste of God-given talent. Keeps making wrong choices. Niners had no choice to release him. I'm still hoping that he continues to get help. It is a tragic and sad situation, but for all of us Niner fans, it is frustrating and maddening with all of what has transpired this off season regarding the retirements, Harbaugh situation, and so forth.
