Rutgers, Illinois.....a couple of light touches. It kind of appears that Jimbo Booger Pants is being given an ''easy ride'' to a good season. I wonder if the fix is in to give another Big10 team some sort of chance against Ohio State. They want to artificially build up UM to make them look good before the Buckeyes murder them at the end of the season. Good publicity for the Big10, so football fans "think" OSU isn't worlds ahead of the rest of the Big10, now that MSU has moved back a little.

I also think the quality start today locks up the AL ROY award.

Fulmer pitched great tonight. He's not great at covering 1st, though. I feel good about him as #2 and the playoff staff overall if they make them. Bats are coming alive. Looking good.

No he's not. He was bound to cool off. He's had the 2 bad outings over his last 6 after he finally did. The other 4 ranged from ok to very good. If he can go 6+ his last start and win the ERA title he should be a lock for ROY. I think he should win it regardless.

Desire? Hopefully. In the old days....strong Septembers by borderline players was called a "Contract Push". I guess that doesn't apply as much anymore with multi-year deals. But you do have to wonder if sudden spurts by impending free agents, arbitration eligible, and "AAAA" players aren't spurred by trying to make a good LAST impression.

WOW. Wolverines may be running into a buzz-saw next week. Forget about MSU.....Wisconsin will be Jimbo Booger Boy's big test. UM spends 4 weeks playing push-overs and now they have to get ready for a Top Ten, undefeated team. Jimbo the Psycho does not do well against top 20 teams. That Badger defense might make him fill those Khaki pants with some brown stuff.
