Verlander sharp through 2.....just saying

Against the PhiLOLies. They have two MLB-caliber hitters right now (Herrera and Franco (who hasn't been very impressive so far this season)).

This Twins club is top three worst Twins teams I have ever seen, I started watching the club in 1975...

On pace to be the worst team in AL history, right?

I doubt the Twins will continue to suck this badly all year, but they're at a .244 win percentage right now. The 43-119 Tigers team in 2003 had a .265 win percentage.

It'd be hard to.

October 2nd in the SouthSide to finish it out. We were lucky in 03, played at home, against the Twins to finish it out.

(I won't go to this possibly historic event though. Lol)

Yep, the Tigers won 4 of their last 5 to avoid matching the 1962 Mets loss record (120), including a 3-game sweep of the Twins who had already locked up the division and were playing scrubs.

Just cuz it was against a AAA team, in the rain, doesn't make Dimitri Young any less of a hero.

Lol

There's also no way the 2016 Twins pitching staff can be THIS bad:

Mike Maroth: 9-21, 5.73 ERA
Jeremy Bonderman: 6-19, 5.56 ERA
Nate Cornejo: 6-17, 4.67 ERA
Adam Bernero: 1-12, 6.08 ERA

It's early, but the Twins non-Duffey starters are comparable to the 2003 Tigers' ERA+ wise.

Quintana and Sale's ERAs are more or less half of Verlander's. Also, Rich Hill has a lower ERA. Lol.

Don't look at Verlander ERA over his last 4 starts....
SALE hasn't faced tigers yet. So when he does. Add t least full point to it.

Come on Nava, you have to know by now, Doug would just bring the Tigers entire team to the AS game to play the NL.

Is it not the pitcher's job to allow as few runs as possible?

Yes, Verlander's ERA is still at 4.02. But considering it was 6.49 on May 3, that's a tremendous improvement. He's got a long way to go before we are thinking ASG, though. LOL.
