Niether Herrera or Davis have given up a run yet this year. Hochevar's numbers aren't that good but I have full faith in him. Soria has struggled but he's getting better. And Duffy does better out of the bullpen then he ever did as a starter. And yes Kennedy has been the stud starter this year. We need another starter, but I don't know who.

Still my Tigers and my Las Vegas still hasn't been lost, but it's nice to have you around to let us know how bad the Tigers are doing.

My respect to the City of Chicago and the great year they are having in baseball (so far).

As you get older, many people (except the few dougs of the world) begin to realize that worshiping a team does not actual add any wins on to their win totals. Neither does being the loudest "cheerer"...that is often just beer talking. When you reach my age and you've seen the Tigers fail many more years than succeed....you start to get less and less disappointed in negative outcomes. Right now - the Tigers stink. Could they improve? Sure, the AL is filled with mediocrity this year. Will they win it all? The smell through my aging but sensitive, veteran, nostrils say - NO.

Sure, the AL is filled with mediocrity this year.

The AL is filled with parity and good competition. Its the NL that has teams running away with good records because they have 4 or 5 teams in full on rebuilding Mode. The good NL teams are padding their records. The AL is hard to predict because everybody is in it to win it. Only the Yankees, Twins and Astros have fizzled and even those teams are better than that.

Even with the Twins recent history vs Sale, it's almost impossible to beat the guy if he's getting every single close pitch(that are pretty clear balls even).

Eleven of the AL teams are within 4 games of each other. Yes, that is parity. It also appears to make them average or ''mediocre''. As for your cliche I quoted above....well, it is a cliche isn't it? (Unless you have evidence that the front office of any of the AL teams sat down and said, "Let's not win it this year, guys!")
