Strange story about Adam LaRoche and his retirement. I really can't buy giving up $13mil because your kid can't be in the clubhouse all the time. And why isn't this 14 year old in school? A lot of people praising Adam LaRoche about being a great father....but shouldn't he be more interested in the kids social/educational development? How much is he learning hanging around a locker room with a bunch of jocks? Poor kid. In a few years, he might end up making up a fantasy internet life for himself and acting like an ass on some site like SportsHoopla. C'mon LaRoche, get your kid in school, collect your $13mil and drag the White Sox to the cellar of the AL Central.

I understand LaRoche's retirement papers have not been filed with MLB offices yet. I assume that LaRoche will come to his senses and not retire. No sane person gives up $13 mil for something like this. There is either more to the story or LaRoche just "lost it" and will back off. (And look awfully stupid)

White Sox might end up making a deal with him to retire....and give him some of the $13mil. They certainly don't want this guy around...do they?
