Uribe is a 37 yr old... Maybin is in his baseball prime. Its not outside of the realm of likelihood that he could have a career year.. Uribe on the other hand likely won't.

Are you aware that this is homer talk?

Really? You expecting Uribe to perform well this year? LOL That would be some homer shit.

Before I decide whether I think Uribe will perform well this year, I'd like to know your definition of "well."

Over the last three seasons, he's averaged 118 games per with an OPS+ of 114. That's above average. Last year, he played 119 games with an OPS+ of 105. That's also above average.

I do not think expecting 100+ games out of him with a roughly league average bat is unreasonable. Why do you feel that is "homer shit?"

Expect your 37 yr old 3rd base to stay on the field... LOL.

Indians will be lucky to get 100 games and a .230/.280/.300 ops+of 80
If he hits 5 HR and has 40 RBI I would be surprised.

He was on the field for 119 games last year, 103 the year before and 132 the year before that.

You think him being 37 this year makes me a homer for thinking it's reasonable to expect 100+ games out of him?

i wouldn't put money on him playing 100 games... that is all. 3rd base isn't exactly the easiest place to play... he isn't a dh.

I'm trying to understand where you're coming from. Seriously.

Your opinion is that, despite performing the last three years at a significantly higher rate than you're projection for 2016, he's going to sharply decline for the sole reason that he's now 37 years old. Is that correct?

lmao - take away 1/3 of the season and he sucked...

its just something for vice to do....he says 38 yr old Vmart will have a great year and 37 yr old Uribe will suck...why? one is on the tigers, the other on the Indians.

Isn't Victor Martinez 37? Vice....how many games are you counting on him this year.....considering his groin often falls off running to first?
:)

It's actually almost half of Uribe's season - 42% of his PAs were with the Braves.

You've hit the nail on the head here, bums. I'm just trying to see if Vice is capable of understanding that he's a mega-homer.

He's calling me a homer for expecting Uribe to do less this year than he has the past three, while he's saying it's reasonable to expect Maybin to do something he's never done in his nine year career.

Sal Perez and Juan Uribe will be crippled in 2016....but perennial M.A.S.H. visitors, VMart and Iglesias will be healthy? Good luck.

I really don't think Vice IS a homer. I think he derives his joy in tearing down other teams and their fans. I honestly think he could switch over to being a Red Sox fan and go after the Yankees, Orioles and their fans.
(Isn't that a troll?)
