Nobody was calling Frank Thomas the greatest hitter of his and most generations... Many say that of Cabrera.

Slash lines through their age 30 seasons:

Cabrera - .321/.399/.568/.967/154

Thomas - .321/.443/.584/1.027/174

You'll have to forgive Vice. Baseball didn't exist to him until the fall of 2011.

Seriously...the other day Vice was trying to argue that Wade Davis won't be good in 2016 because 'when was the last time a reliever had 3 straight great years like that.'

I then pointed out that very recently, Kimbrel had 3 straight comparable (maybe even better) years than Davis, and of course Vice couldn't counter/dispute just went on to the next argument.

Show any evidence of anyone reputable ever claiming Frank Thomas as the greatest hitter of his generation... you won't find it.

Slash lines through age 32 seasons:

Cabrera: .321/.399/.562/.961/155

Thomas: .321/.440/.579/1.018/169

If no one was calling Thomas the best of his generation, then I suppose they shouldn't be calling Cabrera that either.

Seriously...the other day Vice was trying to argue that Wade Davis won't be good in 2016 because 'when was the last time a reliever had 3 straight great years like that.'

I then pointed out that just a few years ago, Kimbrel had 3 straight comparable (maybe even better) years than Davis, and of course Vice couldn't counter/dispute just went on to the next argument.

Yep. That's his MO.

Frank was a beast in those years. First round draft pick in every fantasy league I was in.

Both players are incredible talents. I'm glad I've gotten to watch them - just wish it wasn't always at the Indians' expense. . .

Just be glad you offer no indication of where you are or what team you root for or his bullshit would include a bunch of weak regional insults and "well, your bullpen sucks" crap. He's really unstable.

Did @MiamiVice conveniently have something else to do the second he was proven wrong?

Hi.....just wanted to let you guys know that Vice's dad (who owns all the business Vice talks about) came into Vice's office, found him on Sportshoopla and gave him hell for not making sure all the toilet paper dispenser were full. Vice forgot to order the TP, so he is running out to the Family Dollar store to get some. He'll be right back

Funny how it works huh... all the people that say Miggy is the greatest hitter of his generation.

You want to put a little cash on Wade Davis having the same or better numbers as he did last year?

I am about as unstable as the stairs up to your trailer house door... your fat wife has really jarred them loose.
