Nobody was calling Frank Thomas the greatest hitter of his and most generations... Many say that of Cabrera.
You'll have to forgive Vice. Baseball didn't exist to him until the fall of 2011.

Seriously...the other day Vice was trying to argue that Wade Davis won't be good in 2016 because 'when was the last time a reliever had 3 straight great years like that.'
I then pointed out that just a few years ago, Kimbrel had 3 straight comparable (maybe even better) years than Davis, and of course Vice couldn't counter/dispute just went on to the next argument.
Cabrera - .321/.399/.568/.967/154
Thomas - .321/.443/.584/1.027/174
Frank was a beast in those years. First round draft pick in every fantasy league I was in.

I then pointed out that very recently, Kimbrel had 3 straight comparable (maybe even better) years than Davis, and of course Vice couldn't counter/dispute just went on to the next argument.
Did @MiamiVice conveniently have something else to do the second he was proven wrong?
yeah... lunchDid @MiamiVice conveniently have something else to do the second he was proven wrong?
I don't see anything in here saying he was the best of his generation... I see a hypothetical question... but nothing stating.. yes.. he was.
Funny how it works huh... all the people that say Miggy is the greatest hitter of his generation.Slash lines through their age 30 seasons:
Cabrera - .321/.399/.568/.967/154
Thomas - .321/.443/.584/1.027/174
You obviously were not on CBS boards. You'll have to forgive Vice. Baseball didn't exist to him until the fall of 2011.
You want to put a little cash on Wade Davis having the same or better numbers as he did last year?Seriously...the other day Vice was trying to argue that Wade Davis won't be good in 2016 because 'when was the last time a reliever had 3 straight great years like that.'

Funny... they do.. and continue to do so.Slash lines through age 32 seasons:
Cabrera: .321/.399/.562/.961/155
Thomas: .321/.440/.579/1.018/169
If no one was calling Thomas the best of his generation, then I suppose they shouldn't be calling Cabrera that either.
I am about as unstable as the stairs up to your trailer house door... your fat wife has really jarred them loose.Just be glad you offer no indication of where you are or what team you root for or his bullshit would include a bunch of weak regional insults and "well, your bullpen sucks" crap. He's really unstable.
