You are such a child.

We're having a conversation about the run differential between the Royals and the Tigers, part of which is explained by the Tigers' questionable running game. You can't handle that so it's, "but the Indians suck."

Grow up, you silly twat.
The entire debate started in regards to the Indians run projection... The Royals were brought into it later.. nobody is disputing the Royals are superior on the bases... why do you keep posting about it?

I'd guess PEDs.
Really? LOL...

Fact is this... HOF caliber hitters more times than not hit well into their late 30's. If you can hit.. you can hit. Its the last thing to go.

Elite level hitters tend to age very well. How old is Arod? Ortiz? How did Thome do in his later years? Frank Thomas? All these guys produced into their late 30's at a very high level.

Yeah, people were calling David Ortiz "done" after a couple of rough seasons in his early 30s. His last three seasons at ages 37-38-39: .309/30/103, .263/35/104, .273/37/108.

When Victor retires, Cabrera also likely moves to DH, prolonging his career.

Howie and I were discussing it like adults. Then your childish, pussy ass came in and was all "but the Indians suck."

By the way, the Indians were better on the bases than the Tigers last year. So fuck off, kid.

Can you show one thing that even remotely suggests Thome used PED's?

I'd bet my middle nut that Ortiz is on PEDs.

Comparing an elite hitter that may be the greatest hitter of the last 60 years (maybe ever) to anything is impossible.. so just stop.

A-Rod from age 32 on averaged less than 120 games/season (and that's without including his suspension year). That's aging well?

Ortiz declined from ages 34-36 then miraculously got better from ages 37 on....kind of weird example, especially given his potential PED cloud, no?

How did Pujols age? Fielder? Howard? Teixeira? Hamilton? Adrian Gonzalez? Albert Belle? Mo Vaughn? Griffey? Frank Thomas? Bagwell? Berkman? Andruw Jones? But you named 3 guys (one of which didn't age well), so it's all good!

In 2015, the Tigers were below league average on RS% (% of baserunners that score), SB% (% of successful steals / attempts), and XB% (% runners take more than a base on a single, and more that two on a double). They were a below average running team. Depending on your definition of not "too bad," that might fit.

I attribute some of that to the fact that their fastest players (Kinsler, Davis, Gose) are also shitty OBP guys, while their slower guys are on the bases a lot more.

Fact is fact. Look up the HOF and show me a hitter there that didn't hit well into his late 30's.. He will be the outlier.

That might explain it, but it doesn't change it.

???

Age 34: .270/32/102 in 145 games.
Age 35: .309/29/96 in 146 games

Age 36 he missed a third of the season and still hit 23 HR.

He declined a bit from his peak years (27-30), but it's not like he fell off a cliff. And Cabrera is a better all-around hitter than Ortiz.

No one is saying he's washed up. Stan brought up the fact that Cabrera is entering the age when many players start to break down, which he is. That does not mean he will, it means he could. The fact that he missed significant time last year for the first time in his career illustrates that Stan's point was not unfounded.

Frank Thomas was hitting well into his age 38 season.
Howard and Teixeira are not worthy of being compared to Miguel Cabrera.. get the fuck out with that shit
Pujols was fine last year.
Fielder? Really? Look at 2015.
Adrian Gonzalez? Look him up to.

You have to love someone that thinks the best right handed hitter of the last 60 years is going to fall into the same catagory as fucking Mark Teixeira.

Got the years wrong...ages 32-34 Ortiz significantly declined...he hit .257 with a 120 OPS+ during those 3 years, then suddenly was hitting like he was in his prime again.

Pujols and Frank Thomas are comparable to Miggy...they declined heavily in their early 30s and started breaking down.
