Not only is he giving up a prodigious amount of runs, he isn't pitching very many innings. He's averaging 4.5 innings per start. As bad as Cain started the season, he is averaging 5.75 innings per start.

PV must go, and the sooner the better.

I know loyalty runs deep, but even Noggin has to acknowledge that PV is dead weight to this pitching staff. And pitching one decent game out of every 8 starts is not helpful.
