I read that Fowler got hurt the box score shows Hayward getting pulled for Bryant (with LaStella taking over 3rd).

Span hit a screamer right into trips alley. To the warning track. But Heyward ran it down and made a diving catch. Unfortunately, he dove head first into wall, wrenching his neck to the right(?). He imediately rolled over screaming in pain saying he was NOT alright and clutching his side (hip?)
Hope its not bad, for his sake. Could be 2nd outfielder they lose this year.

I understand the Cubs are good, but PV is just looking completely useless.

Might be better if he is safe. Keeps the triple-play alive.

I am tempted to turn this thing off. PV is absolutely worthless out there.

I doubt he'll get to do the five and dive. :(

I know he'll get another start or two...but this has to be close to the end for PV. Hope Hesto gets stretched out...

The lowest Peavy's ERA has been this year: 6.86, after his 7 inning gem against the Marlins (boy they must be embarrassed by that one). I know Peavy has been around for a while, but it seems like he's too young to have gotten this bad.

It isn't years, it is miles.

Henry Schulman@hankschulman
Big difference between this Peavy start and last: AZ has third-most Ks in NL, Cubs third-fewest. They don't chase. Consistently ahead.

Henry Schulman@hankschulman
Tied for the second-shortest start in Peavy's career. Last time was 7/6/2010 and he got hurt. #SFGiants
