Statcast has Bryant at 72nd percentile in sprint speed. Not bad at all.

Knowing Flores' speed (or lack thereof), that coach should have had a big crossing guard stop sign held up, the kind with flashing lights around the edges.

I am guessing ”that coach” will never be in a giants uniform during the regular season ever again.

But nit just for the sake of throwing a PH. That situation did not call for a PH. Gas was semi-dealing. And pulling him in the hopes of starting something with 1-out and no one on is just low-return.

I don't have time to research but I wouldn't be surprised that there were a few times in the regular season he pulled the pitcher in a very similar situation. But all this arguing is moot as he didn't pull him and the pinch hitter may have done nothing anyway.
