I was at a Twins game a decade ago where Bum gave up 8 runs in the first. I left.

Slater doesn’t call off Solano, but he does get in Solano‘s way as he try’s to make the catch. He than tries to hero the play by throwing to 3rd. Then Kaz doesn’t cover 1st, but Flores also doesn’t throw home instead.

Wilmer Flores *might* have had a play at the plate. But he definitely had a play at second base, which would have been preferable to flipping to a pitcher covering first late. (Kazmir broke to 1B but slowed because he didn't want to run into Flores' throwing lane to the plate.)

Nice to see Castro limiting the damage but I would have rather liked to see him strike out Perdomo and not walk him. Oh well.
The D-Backs are a 100 game losers so we've still got a chance in this, unless our bullpen melts down or Bumgarner brings vintage Bum today.
