The first roughing was legit the second was kinda silly, sure he landed on him but how can a defensive player avoid that once he’s tackling someone ? This isn’t the matrix

True, but it is the rule. It's not even a new rule at this point. Don't like the rule, but by the letter, it's a penalty.

Yeah, Russell's willing to go to the middle as well as take what's given to him during the two minute drill.

I actually have liked the effort that AP has put forward in his runs. Dude still has some fight in him.

I agree it's a horrible rule - but it is the rule. Don't wanna be flagged, don't land your whole weight on the QB. That hit was textbook of what is illegal in the NFL right now.

A client of mine used to be a Seahawks trainer but transitioned to a different profession and had an offer from Carson to train him but he turned it down because he said Carson's body is completely shredded. That's why we were able to re-sign him on such a small deal.

I believe it, and at the same time I gotta place some fault on Seattle's FO for going into the season with Carson and Penny (both injury prone runningbacks) leading the way....

Fight might be there, but he has more carries than everyone else combined, and anyone who has a carry has more yards. 1.3 ypc is terrible - and that includes a really long wait on forward progress on one carry that if I were a SF fans I'd be pissed they didn't call forward progress.

I was pretty surprised they didn't whistle that dead too.

I'm used to short whistles on Seahawks progress plays, so it seemed like they gave AP forever to get moving again.

I can't emphasize this enough.

I feel like as great of a QB as Russ is, instead of taking what's available to him he holds on to the ball and tries to shoot for the big play. If he truly wants to be great he needs to use those check downs and and intermediate passes to set up those big plays. Funny to think people used to call him a game manager when QBs with that label typically live off of check downs and short passes.
