That would be excellentI want Logan Gilbert to go 33-0 and the rest of the team to go 0-129.

The definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over, and expecting different results.1st thing I noticed when I looked at the box score.
The Mariners are pushing the same old broken squad out onto the field, looking for different results.

Jerry needs to stop thinking he's the smartest man in the room. He keeps digging that hole deeper when he speaks and no fan wants to hear "we're not a poor franchise" and then spend 50cents on trash players while other teams spend on need to better themselves. He needs to shut the fuck up and sit down.Found the reason.

Veteran Seattle Reporter Issues Important Correction on Controversial Jerry Dipoto Comments
Seattle Mariners President of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto went on 93.3 KJR Thursday morning during a live broadcast of the "Chuck & Buck Show" at spring training in Peoria, Ariz.www.yardbarker.com
If he gets back to his highest avg which was I believe .243, he'll be our best hitter.surprised that's a Minor League deal... I think he's immediately like our 4th best hitter.
That's the narrative Jerry has been pushing for 2 yrs. Competitive payroll yet us fans see how poorly the money has been spent. It does to me because actual dollar amounts mean less in different years, but being ranked at certain spots shows they are payroll competitive each year based on how the league is spending.
But I don't see it as competitive. He should be Top 7 Payroll with a team that could win it all. This payroll is far from competitive. Per Spotrac they are 16th in active payroll. To get to 7th he would have to add $66M. That is competitive for where they are competitive wise for the WS. $66M could have gotten you Bregman and Alonzo. Now that would be competitive. That's the narrative Jerry has been pushing for 2 yrs. Competitive payroll yet us fans see how poorly the money has been spent.
In this case you're correct that this years payroll isn't competitive and we should have seen that more clearly when owners started to cry how poor they are. I myself got bogged down in the needs of 2 FA bats needed forgetting what the owners said. One month in is when I realized these assholes weren't making any moves. But I don't see it as competitive.
