Per BoMel just now:

Roupp is the #5 SP; Bird to bullpen

Landen Roupp had a hell of a spring and was deserving of a rotation spot. Feels like the best thing for Hayden Birdsong is to start, whether that's in the minors or majors. It should be noted that the rotation at the end of the year will look different than the OD rotation.

I don't like the swingman role in general for young pitchers, especially when they just need innings. The workload can be too unpredictable and preparing for it is different than throwing every 5th day. One way or the other, Birdsong will find his way in the rotation.

Perhaps, shifting Jordan Hicks back to the bullpen would have created an opportunity for Roupp and Birdsong to start, but they have committed to him being in the rotation for now.

I'm no major league manager but Birdsong seems wasted in the bullpen. I'd rather have him stretched out as a starter in AAA. He's young enough that he could use the experience in AAA.

Birdy is young enough that he could spend 2 more full seasons in the minors and I would not be to concerned. I don’t like putting him in the bully.

Seems silly to have YoungBird on his ass in the bully when he could be polishing his starting stuff in Sac. You know a starter is going down at some point and I'd prefer to have Tweety or Harry primed and ready at that point. Plenty of arms to fill out the bully

This is a good team going by this Spring Training. If they make it to post season they are a lottery ticket for the WS in my opinion, though that isn't likely. If I was able to place a long shot WS bet on the Giants I would not expecting they will win but have the right elements to go on a postseason run. They have good pitching which can dominate when going well and power through the lineup we haven't seen in a long time (not big power but in enough spots of the lineup to make a difference).
