Haynes must have kicked the coaches dog. I saw some good things from him last game. Yes he gave up a sack ( 1 of the 5 ) and had 2 penalties but there was times this last game where Geno had ALL day to throw and he even took a sack on one of those ALL DAY to throw snaps ( smh ). I think they said he was the 2nd highest graded Olineman in the game all though NO ONE got a very good grade. Thats what happens when the other team gets 5 sacks even if they are well past when the ball should be thrown/out of the QB's hands.

Still i am excited to see this rookie Laumea play. Fingers crossed that he is a keeper.

I want to see all our rookies play to be honest. Barner looks like the best blocking TE on the team some times and he shows a little something in the pass catching game also. He is unique and if he grows like most young players do he has a chance to become a solid to maybe even very good ( borderline probowl ) TE. I like the growth i have seen all ready from him this year and he looks like a fun player to watch moving forward. He had 54 snaps last week and it doesnt look like he is ready to give back those snaps. He played hard made some mistakes but was willing to get dirty, i liked it. Now stop those penalties that hurt us.

Knight played 81% of the snaps and didnt have a bad game, he wasnt the one always on the TE but he DOES need to get better in coverage. He had a few nice stops in the passing game though. He is still learning the NFL passing game route concepts, something that will get better. Some times you see him Just slightly set up wrong ( a little to wide or late ) and thats more a sign that he is still learning. Playing time is needed and he should grow into a fine player. He was reacting just a tad late on some of the routes he had in his area.

Murphy had his 2nd lowest snap totals of the season in games he has played. I don't like this because even with those low numbers he had flashes and made himself known on the field. With more snaps we could see or should see more production. Murphy needs more time on the field and should always be around that 55%-60% area not 41% or lower.

The rookie Olineman we just need to see, this line is so bad that we have to see every one of these guys play. Can't always fooking miss when drafting/signing olineman. Law of averages say we are do for a hit at LEAST once! ( not counting 1st or 2nd rounders they should always be a hit lol )

Hey also More Bobo please! You can't always bring this guy into the game when you are going to run. It's a tell that the chances you run are high. He got 15 snaps and i believe 11 or 12 were on running plays. You might as well show your hand before the snap playing like that.

If the Hawks can win 2 of the next 3 that would almost all but tie up the NFC West crown. Might still have an important game at the end against the Rams but might not. Need to beat the Cards and Have them play well the remainder of the season then take one of the two between GB and Vikings.

Seattle had not scored more than 20 points in a game since Oct 20th against Atlanta until today. Ouch Atlanta was the last good offensive performance points wise.

And 6 of those 26 points were by the defense

He just might work out. Been overall impressed with his rookie season, and maybe he's the closest thing to Zach Miller we've seen in 10 years.

Agree... Underrated TE coming out of the draft... Glad to see he's performing very well... Very solid all the way around... Zach Miller is a great comp...

Fant should be gone after the year

He will be. At this point start incorporating Barner as a key piece into the TE packages because he's going to likely be the starter next year (especially if we resign DK, we need the money savings). There is no way Fant is a) worth the money we paid him, and b) worth the money he's due next year.

And he should've had another TD (likely) against the Rams when Geno threw the INT because Barner was clearly held and the refs missed it. Add another 20 yards and a TD on him and it's looking more attractive. Pharoh Brown was a waste of money. Schneider did a terrible job in free agency.

Kind of depressing watching Wilson play with the Steelers. Not the fact that he used to play here and all that history, but the fact that a screen game will actually work if you pull blockers and get them downfield vs. all the naked screens we run. Our screen game for years has basically been as effective as clocking the damn ball and conceding the down.

It's hard to disagree with this statement right now. A bit of a recovery shot with the E Jones trade, but that's kinda like dropping a 25 footer for triple bogey. The bummer of this is: this was the first off-season with JS alone at the top of the food chain. Not a good maiden voyage.

Yep... Can't say it was PC sharing the decisions any longer... He's lone wolf...

btw, I chuckled at your golf analogy... Great example...

Well the decisions are going to be a lot tougher this offseason with decisions to make with Geno/DK/Lockett. I don't see any of these guys being a part of a super bowl team just because of the timeline involved with it but we are in first place right now. I mean if we do win the division it's going to be a lot tougher to make decisions towards the future and go with youth.

I don't think there is much decision at all with Lockett. Here are your 2 basic choices: 1) keep him for 2025 at a cap cost of $31M or 2) cut him at a cap cost of $14M. It's a no-brainer to save that $17M and use it somewhere else. *Maybe* you push money around and keep him another season, but that seems unlikely at this point with how much he's faded this season.

With Geno, it's not so cut & dried. His 2025 cap cost isn't necessarily prohibitive for a QB at $38.5M (not even top 10 for 2025 QBs), but you can recoup $25M of that by cutting him and a potential replacement in Sam Howell is already under contract for 1/13th of that dead cap hit. Geno is a decent/capable NFL starter, so this one will be a tougher decision for sure. I suspect the majority of regular posters here on this board would move on from Geno after this season.

DK is going into his final year of current contract, so this is typically the time to extend or trade, but they can also stand pat at the cost of $32M and then likely see him leave town as a 2026 free agent.

You also have some guys that are near certain cap casualties: Noah Fant, Dremont Jones, and Roy Robertson-Harris. Behind them, iff guys might be Rayshawn Jenkins, George Fant, and maybe even Uchenna Nwosu (durability reasons as much as cap).

The upcoming off-season will be interesting for sure.

Hopefully Mac has more input with a year under his belt

The one I'm most worried about is DK. I do not think he deservers the contract he's expecting and I definitely don't think he deserves the FT. He's got great straight line speed but that's it. He doesn't have great hands, doesn't extend his hands when they should be extended, doesn't particularly run great routes, and just in general doesn't seem to have good WR instincts. I don't think he sucks but I could name at least 10 WR's I'd rather have besides him as the #1 option.

Interesting read, pretty damning really. Will grubb get canned at the end of the year and who would replace him? Damning stat shows the collapse of Seahawks offense under Ryan Grubb

It'll be really interesting to see where this offense goes after this year. On one side I can't blame Grubb, he was thrown in with a TON of terrible offensive lineman. On the other hand, you had an extreme amount of talented skill players and you signed up for it... and you weren't vocal at all... so... yah...

We'll see.. Glad the defense has finally found their identity (or so it seems).
