Thunder are in a fantastic position.

Get a legit Center and they really have no weaknesses.

Chet is fine there in the regular Season.

But he would have a lot more left in the gas tank for the post season if they slide him to the 4.
We don’t even talk about positions anymore in the OKC

Uh…

Maybe you should.

Because 2 of them cost you a trip to the Finals.

Dallas’ Centers looked like Olajuwon and Sampson and whomever Giddey was guarding looked like PRIME JORDAN.

* trollish hyperbole *

You corrected one of those situations in spectacular fashion.

Address the other and……BRUH.

Yeah I know, just saying Prestis invention of positionless basketball is close to complete. I do agree another big man is needed, but it has to be the right one.

I mean, the roster is already unbelievable.

By now, everyone has to acknowledge that Presti is a genius/magician/hypnotist when it comes to roster construction via trade or through the draft.

I’m not even counting the Gordon trade as a L.

It was a calculated risk, that cost you non playoff rotation players that doesn’t muck up your books.

If anyone can add the perfect player, my money is on Presti.

I still have it Hartenstein, Claxton, Capela….in that order.

But if it ended up being a guy like Valencunas, I have faith you got him at a good price and your Coach will find the perfect way to utilize him.

I can still see them trading up for Clingan…..

….maybe even Sarr.

Hey @thunderc

Just got another possible candidate after reading a post in the draft thread.

If the Blazers are really brain dead enough to take Clingan or Edey at 7 and he is recovered from his injury, how about Time Lord?

Sarr seems exactly the guy they’re liking to play next to Chet

What about Robert Williams if Portland pulls the dummy move on the draft?

I think he ends up on someone who fails to end up with Cling Kong

So yeah, that makes sense to me

If Hartenstein wants to come on a 3 year deal I can see it happening at around $25 mil per. Any more than that and Presti will go back into his cage and try to make something smaller happen. The money Chet and Jdub are going to get is staggering, plus Shais supermax kicking in.

I can see that and the toughness he would bring is exactly what is needed. Let’s face it, JWills smile is way too good to ever be considered the enforcer.

Great point.

Gotta look towards the future with the new cap rules.

This isn’t a don’t wanna pay to keep Durant/Westbrook/Harden/Ibaka core together type situation.

It would literally be impossible to pay everyone their worth, while surrounding them with a competent supporting cast.

That’s why I hope they tweak the rules for teams that have built the right way.

Maybe by not penalizing them so heavily to pay to keep the guys they drafted?

I remember that bing discussed in the past.

Great contract too.

He makes 12 mil per and won’t be a free agent until 2026-27.

Yes at some point anyone not named Shai, Chet or Jdub is expendable. Fortunately we have a couple years before that reality hits. By then those 3 guys are going to be an absolute machine though.

They have enough firsts to draft the role players to fill in around them

They can move around the draft board to get their guys
