AgainSeems like he’s a sixer

Detroit gonna Detroit and trade for Zach.
Magic is extremely charismatic, but he isn’t a great communicator. And he was tremendously talented. Kind of the opposite of Redick.
Fisher?
I don’t know. Thought he had a chance to be good too.
Think he got a bad rap. Never had a chance.
Coaching in as bad a situation as you can get. Given a bad roster and told he had to use an outdated offensive system.
He wasn’t good. But I don’t think it fair to evaluate him based off of that.
All the Sixers can send is picks and offer cap space. Still think Heat are over cap and limited if it’s the Sixers. Not seeing it unless it’s a 3 team deal.
Trying to think who had the most success. Probably missing someone (or more than 1) but maybe Bird?Great players rarely make good coaches.

Maybe Tomjanovic...clearly not Bird level as a player but he was a damn good player pre-punch

Blake Griffin 2.0.Hopefully Langdon brings a smarter perspective
This is getting a bit chaotic. Hiring all those ex-HC coaches may be problematic but maybe it is a hedge for the Lakers against a Redick failure to come (in two years) that TJF12 has already discussed in earlier posts.

Lakers want to add multiple former head coaches to JJ Redick’s staff
The Lakers want to give JJ Redick a coaching staff that has been there and done that.www.yahoo.com
Blake Griffin 2.0.
Cannot say I remember as a player but does seem like Wilkens was a damn good player. I think all the guys we have mentioned could be considered great players. Bird and I think Isaiah are on a higher rung.Yea...guess Wilkens was a 9 time all star.
Idk about great as a player tho
Could be true. But the Lakers can do whatever they want. They could have hired Phil Handy after he was fired, but they didn't do that. Maybe he didn't want the job either. we shall see how this plays out. It's not really a hedge against Redick failure as that is really only likely to come into play if they were to fire him during the season. It gives him experienced head coaches to lean on and learn from. If things go well, it can lead to those coaches getting another shot at an HC position.
They could fire him at the end of a season and hire one of the assistants, but it doesn't usually work that way.
