Problem is, he's likely going to want to go to a contender. Not sure there's a contender out there besides maaaaaaybe the Celtics who could give up what would be required to get him without depleting their depth too much. Especially given his injury history.
Philly couldn’t get it done?

Depends on asking price. What's their cap situation? That contract would be a big number to absorb.
Philly has a ton of cap space. Pretty sure if they wanted they can send back very little salary and just picks

They cannot aggregate the salaries to make it work

The magic could work but not an ideal fit

Okc if you eat some salary back from them…

But can get maybe one or two of your picks back?

Same issue I have with the rumors of the Lakers interest in him. Dude is talented, but he's shown himself to be a 3rd option while being paid like a 1st option.

Plus, if he thinks he's a 1st option...that could cause issues in the locker room.
The Bulls are just a bad organization. I’m not interested in taking on their overpay.

The Lakers don't need Lonzo Ball if he gets bought-out. They already have a couple of garbage guards in Gabe Vincent and Spencer Dinwiddie. The former gets hurt frequently and can't shoot worth a damn and the latter is just flat-out useless.

Seems like he’s a sixer
All the Sixers can send is picks and offer cap space. Still think Heat are over cap and limited if it’s the Sixers. Not seeing it unless it’s a 3 team deal.

Cavs could use a backup PG. I wonder what kind of money he wants

A 3-team deal makes sense but how many 1st's are you giving up for a 35 year old...

Yeah I don’t know. Does Jimmy want or can he even be a catch and shoot guy? I think that needs to be the 3rd piece to add to Embiid/Maxey. The time for Jimmy with Embiid has passed. This would feel like they’re a gambler on tilt chasing a mistake. So in that case it probably happens haha.

This is getting a bit chaotic. Hiring all those ex-HC coaches may be problematic but maybe it is a hedge for the Lakers against a Redick failure to come (in two years) that TJF12 has already discussed in earlier posts.

I think Jimmy would fit fine and take a lot of pressure of Embiid but that is the thing with PG13 and Butler. Aging players and how many picks are you giving up. I would take Butler easily over PG13. Honestly, I don't see a lot out there and I would not pursue Lavine. I would offer OG a big contract and try to persuade him away from NY. Other than that, I think there are some other lower priced guys that can fit more into that catch and shoot role as a 3rd option and being lower priced they can get a better 4th option too

This is all good but one of Ham's big problems was he often played his favs players neglecting others who could be more effective in a given game scenario. Maybe all those ex-HC's will help him get his rotations mo better.

If I can build my team and I don’t have to worry about players signing elsewhere:
OG Anunoby - 5 years $200 million. It’s an overpay but he’s a big time fit.

I trade my whole arsenal for Lauri Markanen. That’s like 4-5 firsts and 4-5 2nds. They don’t have players to send back.

I give Melton 3 years 45 million.

I then can fill in with Batum Lowry about 5-8 million a year.

Maxey Melton OG Lauri Embiid

Batum Lowry BBall Paul Ricky Council and maybe a guard on a minimum like Pat Bev
