Lol
The nhl says its will scrutinize any trades for currently injured players with an eye on cap circumvention. Yet it’s perfectly fine to reach the cap floor with those contracts of guys who will never play again. Isn’t it the same thing? What a joke of a league.

How about hiding guys on LTIR to enable you to pickup additional players at the trade deadline and then bringing a "injured" player back for day 1 of the playoffs?

Oh, that’s cool for teams south of the mason Dixon line. You just can’t trade for one currently injured with the intent of doing that I guess is what they’re saying.

I mean, the best solution is to get rid of the hard cap, but knowing the NHL isn't going to do that, the second best solution is to extend the cap restrictions to include the playoffs.

Isn't JT MIller from East Palestine?

Looked it up on Wikipedia, not only was he in E Palastine until around age 15, his Dad's name is Dennis Miller. He is surrounded by Toxicity.
To complete the trifecta, the Dennis Miller you're thinking of is also from Pittsburgh.

If they manage to get even just a first back nothing retained from JT Vancouver might’ve won the deadline combined with other moves.

I see them very easily manipulating the Penguins into this for their win.
