I'll be happy with him if he is kept to DH duties and hits like he did last year (or like he did in 2015, 2016 or 2019). He could at least earn most of that money. If the Giants stick him on the field, in light of how he played last year and his comments - then I think that's buyer beware. They went into this with the full knowledge that his defense stinks and he doesn't care.

WAR is so fickle. He posted an OPS+ of 144 and that got him a 2.8 oWAR with BBRef. Yet, they have his 2016 as a 3.2 oWAR when he had an OPS+ of 126.
I was unhappy(ish) when he first signed here. I have always thought he was good, but a dime a-dozen player who gets way too much credit since he is kinda, sorta, sometimes a power hitter. But after his comments, he completely, 100% lost me. I am fully on the ship-his-ass-outta-town train since those comments.
