We need to cut Zeke outright and designate him a post 6/1 cut. Then reduce Tyron’s salary from $13.6M to like $5M and those two moves save another $20M and puts us well over $30M in cap space this season. We can always find a #2 back to compliment Pollard for a couple million per year and at a lesser salary Smith could be a swing tackle or perhaps a starter and play Tyler at LG one more season (or at least for the games Tyron is healthy for)

Tank‘s contract is also set up to be restructured. The fact that we didn’t do it makes me think this is his last year here. With Williams looking like a player and Micah playing mostly edge and Tank being 32 in 2024, we should be fine going that route.

I wouldn't have done it, but fully expected the Jones boys to. On the upside hopefully we spend, spend, spend in FA this year
It would be worth a try. Jerry getting up there. Being decent most seasons is not enough for most Cowboys fans. We want at least a Superbowl appearance. It been rough since they lost to Carolina in 97 playoffs.

Restructure on Gallup creates another $7.5 million on top of that. I believe Gallup will be back to where he was pre injury next season. This was always an injury that you can come back from the following season but not be 100%.

Cut Zeke, cut Tyron, Rework Gallup and you're there
Boy Jerry's between rock and hard spot.
Cut Smith, cut Elliott.

history says neither.

Smith has been a GREAT player, I'd prefer to keep him around if it was me deciding between the two

You only need so much. Contracts are front loaded and you don't want to kick the can down the road more than you need to. No need to restructure Gallup because right now his contract has an out after this year and IF he isn't the guy he was pre-injury you want to be able to cut/trade him without a load of dead money

I think Tyron is going to accept a price cut and I agree he will be here. As to Zeke, I just don't see how they can pay him more than the veteran minimum if he stays, considering how much juice he has left and Pollard already tagged

Cowboys did restructure Gallup to create $7M more in space. Sounds like they are trying to sign Bobby Wagner. That move would take this defense to another level

Cowboys likely get some comp picks .McGovern gone. Many to follow. If Wilson goes then we get to see if Bell can play. I would try and bring Wilson back over LVE if I had to chose

The Dallas Cowboys have contacted LB Bobby Wagner about their interest in signing him for the second time in as many years. And the Seahawks are interested too. A source told ESPN's Ed Werder that the Wagner decision is not imminent as both seek to determine his current value.
