And Pitt was willing to take him back on vet minimum.

Being a 3rd QB is a sweet deal for anyone. Little to no risk of injury, still gets a nice paycheck. And he gets to stay out of the limelight going forward.

And Pitt was willing to take him back on vet minimum.

Being a 3rd QB is a sweet deal for anyone. Little to no risk of injury, still gets a nice paycheck. And he gets to stay out of the limelight going forward.

Maybe I'm wrong, but he has never struck me as the supporting QB3 type like Josh Dobbs was. Dobbs was on the sidelines working with the OC & QB1 on schemes & plays based off what they were seeing on the field. I dont think Mason ever did that and I'd rather fill that QB3 spot with someone willing to help out in that way.
