i think the only way that happens is if the Bulls feel ball is totally unsalavageable and the Lakers are wiling to eat that contract with lavine.

And it still costs both first and probably Chrisite.

Only makes it easier for them cause taking on just Russ's expiring deal really bails them out going forward. And might even save their pick this year.

but even that scenario is a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG shot right now.

Wouldn't be the strangest of outcomes I guess. Russ/Nunn/Christie, pick(s) for LaVine/Ball/Dragic or something along those lines.

As good as Wood has been, he's going to get paid. Maybe you flip him for 2 or more assets?
I mean you keep flipping guys for lesser assets you are digging a deeper hole. They need a true 1b. That could take awhile

One thing that could keep CP3 outta the top five PG's of all time is the fact he's the only player to lose five different playoff series after being up 2-0. And it's happened in three different decades.

-2008 vs. the Spurs

-2013 vs. the Grizzlies

-2016 vs. the Blazers

-2021 vs. the Bucks

-2022 vs. the Mavs
Definitely a valid point

I just can’t see them being the highest bidder
Yeah I mean they have been bullish on the 2 1st’s but that is pretty much a given if trading for Lavine. What else are you giving? Other teams can do better if they want

I wouldn't say lesser, maybe younger/cheaper? It's a matter of valuing something that a different GM is not I guess?

Which is why they shouldn't wait an extra month (or even to the deadline) for a deal that is highly unlikely. LaVine can't be traded until 1/15.

For the Mavs it’s quality over quantity. Not sure what you can get for Wood but not enough to make the difference imo

Wood/Powell for Beasley/Gay/Vanderbilt? Or Conley/Alexander-Walker/Vanderbilt?

Eh…only 2 weeks until 2023.

Just need him healthy by post season.
We'll see. Still a long way to go yet.
Buy right now they're hovering at the play in (#10)..and in danger of dropping further back and out of it.
They need Wiggins back too....and really should stop sitting Klay for the 2nd game of a b2b from now on.
