He is under contract until 2027. I'm just not sure you can trade a guy with that much value. Kawhi was the only guy and he was injured at the time. KD requested but then never got traded. I would venture to say they get more guys around Luka but it won't be easy and it could be a couple years. Luka isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Kawhi was an expiring deal by the time SA traded him.

The circus was the year before.

Dallas would have a use for him.

They have some expiring deals next summer and could be appealing for everyone.

But his timing was just off, with Klay still there.

Trading him would also give Klay even more leverage.
Dinwiddie, Bullock, Josh Green. Not much value there.

Agree. The problem is back to my point on Dallas, what assets do they have to match the Poole contract and would it even be worth it for GS. Probably would have to be a 3-team deal.

Well I think after this draft they can start dealing some firsts.

Dinwiddie and Bullock are expiring as of next summer.

Throw in Josh Green. The picks are gonna be interesting since he's been a bit exposed right now.

Really curious what it would look like.

But those 3 guys are the core framework of the deal for salary purposes.

Yeah forgot about that but trading Luka would be like trading Lebron especially since his deal runs through 2027. Not gonna happen...Luka isn't going anywhere. They need to accommodate him though

I'm just not sure what deal that makes everyone happy is.

Duncan Dipo Martin Dedmon doesn't even get you there, need to add Yvertson in there.

That is....alot.

@bksballer89 does this even help miami in any way?

What's the trade? Haven't been paying attention but if its for russ then no lol. Martin been one of the heat best players after the big 3 and Dipo looking like our best bench player already in his 5 games

Yeah, I don’t see a good fit unless they just wanna dump Lowry and Duncan

I guess he doesn't like CP3. Russ is not above CP3 but CP3 also has some competition for that top 5 spot. That being said, I think CP3 is right there.

Top PG's all time: Magic, Oscar, Steph, West, CP3, Stockton, Isiah in no order.

I wouldn't mind trading him there if Mia included Robinson...I find it hard to believe he forgot how to shoot suddenly. He could be the sniper we need with James and AD.

Plus whatever contracts to make the salaries work.

I feel the exact opposite. I want no part of Duncan. Duncan is on a 4 year decline and does little else for your team.

If you're going to do that, might as well just deal with the Knicks for Fournier and Reddish. Supposedly the Knicks might add their worst first from their stash to move Fournier (for a Bev/Nunn/JTA package maybe?). Could also bring in the Pacers to make it a 3 team deal?

There's a lot more to consider too. Kidd, Payton, Cousy, Nash, AI, Tiny, Walt, etc.

West was a 2 though...

Problem is really nothing they can do at this point. They don't have very good assets, the Dinwiddie and Bertans contracts aren't good and that's what they got in return in the Zinger deal. It's unfortunate

As good as Wood has been, he's going to get paid. Maybe you flip him for 2 or more assets?

One thing that could keep CP3 outta the top five PG's of all time is the fact he's the only player to lose five different playoff series after being up 2-0. And it's happened in three different decades.

-2008 vs. the Spurs

-2013 vs. the Grizzlies

-2016 vs. the Blazers

-2021 vs. the Bucks

-2022 vs. the Mavs

That's what happens when you deny his trade to the Lakers....

i think the only way that happens is if the Bulls feel ball is totally unsalavageable and the Lakers are wiling to eat that contract with lavine.

And it still costs both first and probably Chrisite.

Only makes it easier for them cause taking on just Russ's expiring deal really bails them out going forward. And might even save their pick this year.

but even that scenario is a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG shot right now.
