Ehh i think ,they think theyre good there.
My only thought Kuntz is a linebacker and maybe could be used there in emergencies?Didn't even know this was a battle? Canaday has been doing a good job so I'm not sure why the change?
About god damn time!
So could their punter...My only thought Kuntz is a linebacker and maybe could be used there in emergencies?
Reports from Fins Camp is that he was having serious snapping issues. Still a formidable blocker but couldn't be trusted with the snap.Ehh i think ,they think theyre good there.
Yeah they desperately need the depth.
Could be a useful IOL depth piece if he can play G.Yeah they desperately need the depth.
Note: Just read your other comment If he is having snapping issues then maybe not. They don’t need Ben chasing bad snaps.
True. His rookie year he was a Guard full time so he has the ability/versatility.Could be a useful IOL depth piece if he can play G.
Purely money. If they can get a serviceable LS cheaper they will. Canaday had a higher minimum salary as a vet.Didn't even know this was a battle? Canaday has been doing a good job so I'm not sure why the change?
I read somewhere that cutting Berry & Canaday only saves them $700k towards their cap… Haven’t checked into that but if true that’s hardly an improvementPurely money. If they can get a serviceable LS cheaper they will. Canaday had a higher minimum salary as a vet.
Not a whole lot no, but teams don't respect long snappers much. If they can save a few hundred grand with a younger guy they will.I read somewhere that cutting Berry & Canaday only saves them $700k towards their cap… Haven’t checked into that but if true that’s hardly an improvement
Fair point. Also, Harvin and Kuntz have been working together as a unit all camp.
Just like Berry and Canaday have been working together.
So those two new guys have built something together and know each other tendencies. They replace the entire unit.
Much more depth & talent in their secondary this year. He was a former 7th Rd pick that just outworked the crappy competition they had to make the roster every year. Limited ceiling, but always performs. WFT fans aren't loving the cut, and some are speculating that they are just gambling on retaining higher end talent at the risk of losing a "decent" starterSo, why would Washington release him?
