What? After all the hype that Buddy & UG3 have been getting? Honestly I would have preferred an OL. Schobert is a great player though. Former Brown.

That hes talking like a silly person on twitter n such
Yea he’s not the sharpest tool in the shed, nor has he proven much of anything to be given that length of leash to run his mouth like he does. I can appreciate that fire & intensity on game days, but seein it on social media is embarrassing.

That deal really came out of left field and actually like it.
Didn't think the position was of that much need. My question isn't he more a coverage linebacker like Bush and Spillane? If so who is the runs stopping Inside Linebacker?

Honestly from what I remember Schobert is a vacuum at LB. He is the best of both worlds. That is, if he is still playing at a high level. Don’t recall how he faired last season. He should start over Spilly if he can still ball

Just checked and his numbers are pretty much the same, still a tackling machine.

From the ESPN article.

Schobert is one of only 14 players who have at least two interceptions, two sacks and two forced fumbles in consecutive seasons dating to 1994, when forced fumble data began being accurately kept. That list includes Hall of Famers Brian Dawkins, Ray Lewis and Charles Woodson and another player -- Julius Peppers -- who will become eligible for the Hall of Fame in 2024.

Gotta admit im worried about the future.

cams contract is bigger

Schobert now

Haden wants a new deal i assume it wont be long but not super cheap

juju is up

diontaes rookie will be up next year

minkah is gonna get paid big

tuitts deal is coming up

edmonds is likely gone but hes coming up

Toss in guys like finney, james pierre, sutton, trai turner and chuks that are cheap now and if they work out will require new contracts and more money

i just dont see how we can pay watt all that money and minkah and a few others and build rosters Like we used to. Dont get me wrong those guys deserve to get paid. But teams that generally invest heavily there, never go anywhere… with ben peacing out, unless we hit gold on some cheap lineman and haskins is the guy…we are in trouble imho
