Might figure he can take a 1 or 2 year deal someplace where he can get the minutes he needs to show he's all the way back from the injury. Then go for the big money the following off-season.

This is what I am thinking.

If he takes a prove it deal, it will be somewhere he can have a large role.

was that why OKC did it? The pick? seems so as Walker only a name at this point. Not a very good shooter or passer (42% shooting last season) and on wrong side of 30 with an awful contract.

They'll flip Kemba on to someone else for more picks. SGA is the starting point in OKC and the future of the team.

Still not losing sleep. ;)

I'd be ok trying to develop Nesmith and/or Langford at the wing... at least they have some potential on the defensive end.

The Celtics have some young talent on the roster that needs minutes to develop (Pritchard, Edwards, Langford, Nesmith). I think this move makes a lot of sense for them. If they need to add a vet wing shooter or vet PG, they can do so on the cheap or in the buyout market.

Good luck!

I don’t think Horford is exactly the model of reliability at this point either.

He had a lot of time off this year, should at least be healthy to start with.

At most though, IMO. Depends on who's interested. Like you noted, they do need to hit that salary floor.
I actuall think SGA can play with a true point guard, he is kind of a hybrid 1/2. He led the league in number of times per game he took it to the basket. I think he can do that from either position.

there’s a better chance of them drafting the Third star at 16 than them adding one in fa.

they’d need to tear it down to the studs to have that kind of cap space

This is Boston. More likely, they will trade for their next star or grow one from within, which requires getting some of the kids already on the roster bigger roles and more minutes. They can either step and fill the roles needed or become more valuable as trade chips.

I agree.....Mecca always said he was a combo guard. He'd be really good at that.

The Nets bench really was lacking the last few games, especially last night.

What do they need a bench for? Doc just plays his starters for 50+ in an overtime game 7 anyway lol.

Sure, but Kemba is a shot happy PG with a high usage rate. I don't like the fit.

Plus, add a healthy Dinwiddie to the Nets team? Yeah, he would have helped the Nets in game 7. And he's just 28.

Dinwiddie declined his option. My guess is that he wants out for a bigger role (and of course more money).

I get it but if he was healthy this season......he would have been available for game 7 (which was the point at the time of the comment).
