That may be a fair point.

However, I would argue that the average fan has a higher opinion of what Kemba Walker currently brings to the table then league executives do.

I do not disagree with your latter point

Do you think his contract plus performance is a harder trade than Wall was though?

That's a tough call. I would say there is an argument for yes... for this reason:

Even though Wall has a very, very serious injury history... he is younger and there is still some hope he can get back to being a top starter.

I just don't think that hope is there with Kemba any more. At this point, Walker is a small guy who has lost his bread and butter (his elite burst and quicks).

Anywho, both guys are tough trades at the time they got traded... no doubt.

Yep.

I think a lot of folks out there, and more than a couple of posters in this forum, still think "Kemba from Charlotte" when they consider Walker and his value.

Kemba ain't that same dude anymore.
And he’s never been a playoff performer. He’s a volume shooter that can’t play defense. And the strength of his offensive game is his speed off the dribble and with injury and age those skills are reduced.

Be an expensive option but Walker might be best suited to being a 6th man at this point in his career.

A lot of folks have praised the Brooklyn Nets and their team building...

... we're now another year into that process, their (aging) core players will now be another year older next season, and the Nets have jack squat to show for it so far.

Oh yeah, their future is mortgaged too.

Meh. Not praise worthy. That was driven almost exclusively by KD and Kyrie.

This was just year 1. And none of the Big 3 are 34-36. They all can play well for a good 3 years or so.

They will be able to add vets chasing a ring this summer......

The Nets bench really was lacking the last few games, especially last night.

The Nets will be the favorite next season, no question.

If you ignore a year thrown away to Durant's major injury.

KD is gonna be 33 at the beginning of next season. Harden 32.

Not time to panic, certainly... but the threat of further injuries only goes up with age.

And they may decide to load manage next season or improve the bench and limit the Big's mpg to 33-35, rather than 40 or so nightly.

The Nets will be the favorite next season, no question.

It is possible another team makes a big unforeseen move to get on their level, but not likely.

We still have no idea how the Nets will respond as a team because they weren’t healthy and they didn’t face a legit challenger.

Milwaukee might win the title this year, but they are still very flawed too.

... none of the Net's Big 3 averaged "40 or so" minutes per night this past season.
