One of the more drastic nose dives of a prospect we have seen in a while. Worse than Gary Brown since at least GB was able to get his cuppo and even go back for seconds. Shaw just hit a wall and never got back up.

The difference between Brown and Shaw is that Shaw actually hit about single A ball. Brown didn't. Otherwise, very good comparison.

It really depends on the situation. Where is the team, and how is the farm and where is the team going? I've yet to see many situations where the cost makes sense.

A couple of former Giants on the move on the last day of the trading deadline. Adam Duvall is heading back to the Braves and the Braves are sending Pablo Sandoval over to the Indians.

By the way, did you all hear that the Indians immediately released Panda after their acquisition? He is a free agent right now.
The trade was a salary dump. He hit .178/.302/.342 in 73 at-bats with the Braves.
